  1. Can the JT handle 20% EtOH gas? I am being told that MN requires all gas to be this now

Im reading that MN no longer allows delivery/sale of gasoline that is less than 20% ethanol. If true, how does this jive with the Jeeps? Don't they have a 15% EtOH max? ETA: read on another forum. Don't see any articles on it.
  2. Weird noise. Possibly transfer case. Advice sought.

My Jeep JT Sport is making an odd noise in 4H and 4L. Sound persists a short while after going back to 2H.
  3. My Jeep Doesnt Like the Cold Anymore

Following the initial day of cold, my Jeep has had 2 issues. First, the infotainment system display turned off and stayed off for a while. It initially booted up when I started the truck, but at some point turned off and stayed off. The system worked fine otherwise: radio worked, hardware...
  4. I measured the height of my JT on 35s next to a stock JLU...

Almost the same height. From pavement to rain channel on both, my JT was only 1/2" higher (69"). From pavement to frame, my JT was only 1/2" higher (13"). This doesn't make any sense. Except, if his tires are at factory 36 psi and mine are at 30psi, that could account for the 2" difference in...
  5. Anyone know who got the JT driven by Bill Murray?

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/groundhog-day-2020-jeep-gladiator-driven-by-bill-murray-listed-for-sale-141321.html I remember reading the articles saying it was available, but it was too expensive to trade in my 3 month old JT Sport S. It would have been so cool to have it, even through my...
  6. What Deadliest Roads/Journey could your JT handle?

I love the shows Deadliest Roads and World's Deadliest Journeys. Seeing the roads around the world and the type of half-century-old rigs in disrepair making their way through them, it's amazing. I think this stretch of the Congo would have me beat. Probably higher mountain roads in the middle...
  7. Which Tail Light Bulb to Replace

I suspect I have a single bulb that is out. When I unlock my Jeep, there is the usual flash of the tail lights, and usually they stay on. A few days ago I noticed one does not stay on. Both lights work while applying the breaks and while backing up. I do not know for certain how they appear...
  8. Tire prices have gone up!

I got a set of 35" Falken MTs in May 2020 for about $1400 installed after tax. $280 per tire. I picked up another new tire for $125 a year later off FB. I saw tires go on sale as low as $240 per tire. Well, nearly 50k miles later, my 21/32" are down to about 8/32" (per tire shop doing...
  9. How to determine if batteries are about needing replacement?

What are the signs that one or both batteries will soon need replacing? If one goes bad then both should be replaced, I have read. I dont recall the display ever showing below 14V, now it is at 13, goes up to 13.8 briefly during downhill coasting. At just under 60k miles, late 2019 build date
  10. When to Replace Batteries

What are the signs that one or both batteries will soon need replacing? If one goes bad then both should be replaced, I have read. I dont recall the display ever showing below 14V, now it is at 13, goes up to 13.8 briefly during downhill coasting. At just under 60k miles, late 2019 build...
  11. 55k Miles Pics

I periodically take a little time at certain mileage intervals to assess my JT. I get underneath it and in a self-service car wash bay put the Jeep on ramps and get to washing. It isn't perfect, I'd prefer a driveway and a regular hose, but such is being a young professional living the rental...
  12. Gladiator vs Bronco

I know, I know, not exactly a comparison video. This channel has some early vids of a stock Rubicon going these sorts of trails (this one probably) and they took out a stock Bronco BadSquatch. It appears to hold its own but I hear a good bit more metal scraping than I would expect from a stock...
  13. What could have been, what might yet be...

One of the patents covering the Gladiator is US design patents D887899, D909917, and D910493. All stemming from an initial design that was filed on November 15, 2018. A year later, on October 1, 2019 the following design patent was submitted. Maybe one day Jeep will make it. More views in the...
  14. Tires got expensive!

Im seeing 35x12.5x17 tires hovering around $400 a tire! I know, supply chain issues. I picked up my 5-set of Falken MTs in May 2020 for $280 a tire. Seeing them go for over $400 now (some places $380 but unknown shipping costs...) is a bit of a surprise. I fortunately have 2 unused tires. One...
  15. Hard time finding my favorite oil

A couple months ago I couldnt find oil filters for my Honda (checked 5 walmarts and a few auto part shops). Now I cant fine any Mobile 1 0w20 Extended Performance. Actually I cant find ANY Mobile 1 0w20 5qt at Walmarts aside from a random jug of Advanced Fuel Economy. Some auto parts chain...
  16. JCR Offroad JT Overland Bed Rack Now Available

Have not seen any threads on this topic, but mentioned in my rack/rtt thread. This bed rack allows you to have a softtopper under it. Way cool. Price is a bit steep when compared to their full-size regular bed rack, which is the only reservation I have. $1500.... Bolts into the factory Trail...
  17. The most overloaded JT I have come across

Or rather, picture of Is it me or is that bed bending downwards like the JT with a bent frame from an overloaded trailer off road did?
  18. Bronco looks to have more issues/delays

Aside from production being shut down for a couple weeks in August, orders cancelled, I came across this in the Bronco forum. Looks like there is a shortage of bumpers, 2.3L engine, and the 4x4 system!
  19. JT vs Bronco Engine Bay

No "vs" subforum on the JL forum so posting here JL/JT has a much cleaner look JT 3.6L AT Bronco with a 2.3 MT Dont you just love how the air intake of the Bronco faces forward, so when you hit a puddle hard water has a greater chance of being sucked in than where the intake on the side...
