I periodically take a little time at certain mileage intervals to assess my JT. I get underneath it and in a self-service car wash bay put the Jeep on ramps and get to washing. It isn't perfect, I'd prefer a driveway and a regular hose, but such is being a young professional living the rental life.

Thus far I have documented at 1200, 11k, 20k, and 35k

Here are some of the videos showing the type of "off-roading" I go through on the county roads in Eastern KY. It isn't much, I know. But I started out on 31" Falken MTs (the 255/75/R17, not the ones that come on the Rubicons), but after a few sessions of scraping and bumping went to 35" Falken MTs at 15k miles.

Here are some of the selected pics. I have had times where I SWORE I broke something, landed on the driveshaft, something got permanently bent, etc. Nope, things have thus far *knock on wood* been fine. No unusual noises driving (aside from a clunking noise discussed in another thread, which only happens at very specific circumstances). I'm not seeing much if any rust. Control arm brackets have taken a few hits. Mud gets EVERYWHERE and I need to re-wash with a hose, not a pressure washer (just letting it run, not on pressure setting which is little more than a mist). Any wet spots you see are water as these were just after the spray down. Belts look fine to me. But as I am a novice, point out anything you think I should address or get more pics of.

Rear shocks look way more worn than front ones. I am surprised.

I was planning on replacing the breaks and suspension at this point. I have a almost new take-off Max Tow suspension that I got two years ago (for $50!) that I thought would need replacing at this point. And at 40k miles I was told the breaks had about 10-15k miles left on them based on the wear marker, but they aren't making noise yet. The breaking does feel softer so it will be a replacement soon, maybe at 60-65k miles. A couple really bad mud baths gunked them up for about 20mi where breaking was difficult, that probably drained a bit of life from them

Yes, you don't know how many times I was thankful to have the gas tank skid. Someone on the trails didn't and their gas tank got punctured. At one point I hit a big dip and it felt like I landed on the driveshaft but things kept going well. I felt stupid afterwards remembering how far up it was until you get to the rear diff but it was one of those drop down on a rock sticking up between the ruts type of hit. Looked like the gas skid took the hit.

I dropped down onto a stump and dented a skid plate.

Replaced my brakes at 40k.
