I have a 2.5" leveling kit on my willys. I'd like to go up but not too much. I want a 3.5" full suspension lift. My question is overall after install will it sit just 1" taller than it does now or will it be an additional 3.5" from current height?

I am assuming your current leveling kit is a set of spacers inserted above the factory springs to raise the jeep and also perhaps get rid of the factory rake.

So, a full suspension kit would include new springs among other things. You would remove the current spacers and springs and replace them with the new longer springs without spacers. You would gain about 1" above the 2.5" you have now (although different kits' actual height gains may be slightly different even though they advertise the same lift height). Also, some full suspention kits address the rake while others don't so make sure you read the specifications while shopping!

There are some variables here that will impact the answer. How much actual lift did you get from the leveling kit (is it spacers in the front only?), how much actual lift will you get from the new 3.5" kit, and will you use or not use your existing coil spacers with the 3.5" lift.

Assuming you have a 2.5" coil spacer in the front and nothing in the rear. And also assuming your new lift will be exactly 3.5" all the way around. And also assuming you'll remove the 2.5" coil spacers in the front. You'll get 1" lift up front and 3.5" of lift in the rear.

If your 3.5" lift is capable of handling the 2.5" coil spacers on top of the lift coils and you install the lift with your coil spacers, then you'll get 3.5" of lift in the front and 3.5" in the rear. Again, assuming the actual lift height is 3.5".

Yes, the leveling kit is spacers and a few other parts went with it. I didn't do it myself, I have a local shop that does it. I'd be having the level removed and the full kit put in. I'm looking at one of the RC 3.5" kits and they say it does remove the rake. So if I understand this right it would lift the front 3.5" and back 1" if I did this, and only sit 1" higher than it does now?

Sounds like you have no lift in the rear. If that is correct, you'll get more than 1" lift from 3.5" lift coils.

If the RC 3.5" lift is 3.5" of actual lift front and rear, you'll be 1" higher in the front and 3.5" higher in the rear.

If that were the case wouldn't I still have a rake? This kit says it levels it.

I don't know how RC addresses the rake. Whether it's with more lift in the front or less lift in the rear.

You should be able to find actual lift figures from the RC 3.5" lift owners.

Just chatted with RC. I was right, it would sit 1" higher level than it does now. Not worth it in my opinion for the $1,300 it would be for the kit plus install and I'd also be wasting the 350 for the level kit and install of that. Guess this is as good as it gets.

I think it looks great as-is.
In my newbie opinion, lift kit will just give you better off-road capability. If you don't go off-road, I'd save the money.

So the rear coils included with the RC 3.5" kit are only 1" taller than stock? That doesn't seem right.

Or do you already have some lift in the rear?

I also think it looks great as it sits.

Actually they said front 3.5 rear 1.5. I actually think this level has my front a little bit higher than the rear but it's not really noticeable. So that 3.5 would potentiality level it perfectly bit I still can't justify 1500ish for just another inch in height.

Thanks for the compliments. I love how it looks. Just thought if I could get a few more inches for little cash I'd do it. 1" isn't enough and I think 6 is too much for these, at least for me who doesn't leave pavement.
