Sure, no problem. I have hundreds of pictures, I just didn't want to post them all at once and spam the group. I definitely can if you want me to 😅

After we installed the lift, I took it out for a test run with my dad and his gladiator. He went with 35in Kanati Trail Hogs (Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac copies) and black Method 701 wheels with 0mm offset.

After that shakedown run, I took the family to the mountains for a quick overnighter in order to test the lift on the highway and curvy mountain roads.

The falcon shocks on Hard and HD springs really tighten everything up (think firm not stiff) which makes the ride feel nice and planted while going up and down curvy mountain roads. I even ran faster than I should have just to see if it would feel nervous, but it never did. Just planted and in control the whole time with a full load of camping gear.

The next thing I did was install the falcon steering stabilizer and the currie currectlync steering system that came with the lift kit package I purchased from Clayton.

I did not notice much of a difference, but they are definitely beefier.

The method 706 wheels with +25mm offset were then swapped out for Method 701 wheels with 0mm offset.

I'm not sure why aev wheels come with +25mm offset, this was not enough for my 12.5 in wide tires. They would occasionally rub on the lower control arms.

I wish I had kept the 706 wheels instead of selling them off, but oh well. Such is life.

Then I had the gear ratio changed to 4.56 at one of the local shops. We decided on 4.56 to help with towing our trailer and because I figured I would move up to 40s one day. Unbeknownst to me, that day would happen much sooner than planned.

The gear install was completed before our trip to Colorado, so I was driving around town trying to get them broken in before we left.

I did manage to get the jeep back to the shop for the 500 mile gear oil change just in time.

The drive up to Colorado was the trip that finally pushed me to put the jeep on a diet. We had to pull over in Albuquerque to force a regen. It put us into limp mode and told us to see a dealer.

Luckily I had the jscan app and was able to force the jeep into regen mode and clear out the dpf filter.

After that stop, we continued all the way to Lake City, Co to the RV park.

Slumgullion pass was a fun drive at night, with a loaded down trailer and crying baby in the back 😆.

The 11,000 ft pass at a 9.8% grade most of the way up would have been tougher without the diesel? Maybe.

We meet up with my mom and dad in Lake City and proceeded to explore the Alpine Loop and surrounding passes.

I really like staying in the smaller towns like Silverton or lake City but Ouray has more stuff to do if your kids are older or your wife likes to shop.

A stock Jeep could do all the passes pretty easily if you choose the right lines and we even rented a Rubicon one time my dad came to meet me up here.

That being said, I did appreciate the extra clearance and cushion from the 37in tires. Even the Clayton lift with HD springs and falcon 3.3 shocks felt more supple over the rough terrain, than my dad's stock JTRD on 35s.

Ophir pass is really scenic, Imogene is fun and terrifying on the telluride side for my wife, engineer and cinnamon pass were fun as well. This was my third time out here in the area.

Retired. Beach bum.
How did the Gladiator towing the toy hauler do up those passes at that altitude? Seems that’s close to the GCVWR , plus’s bigger tires! All in all cool rig!
