Got a buddy who called me tonight and said he got a really good deal on a set of wheels but they are +18 mm offset. They are an inch wider than the factory wheels so he’s worried about rubbing. He plans to stick with the original tires for now and he’s wondering if he’s gonna have a problem. Has anyone installed positive offset wheels and have pictures?

Won’t be an issue. Stock wheel are +44 offset. The width is irrelevant.

Width is very relevant to offset.

On a wheel that is 1" wider you would need an offset of about +30 OR LESS in order to keep the same backspacing and avoid rubbing on the interior of the wheel.
