2020-2023 Airbag Question

Hey All,

New to the forum, I’m in the market for my first Jeep and have a question regarding side seat airbags.

I’m aware that new for 2024+ is the front/rear curtain airbags, but I am trying to figure out if the 2020-2023 Gladiators have side impact airbags in the front seats? And if yes, was it standard equipment?

Thanks in advance, I’ve been looking everywhere trying to figure this out, but have had no luck.

Is it really going to affect your purchase decision?

The airbags are standard equipment, and the same on all models.

I drove a 2020 for over four years, and am coming up on a year in a 2023. I only know where the two main airbags are, and that they added more with MY 2024.

Gladiators before 24' only have side airbags in the front seats. As standard equipment. which i prefer. Post 24' the airbags are added inside the trim of the roll bars front and rear, which i don't like.

I'd like to know because I really like my good ol grab handle straps (pictured), but don't want to restrict a side curtain air bag (if there's one there).

IIRC there should be a small label on the side of the seat facing the door that says "Air Bag"
