For those interested, Cloth is now available to order on a Rubicon

And bedlining can be added without a bunch of other requirements.
Thanks for that info! I really wanted cloth seats...have never liked leather in Jeeps. I accepted leather since it was all that was available Saturday. I just had my order updated to black cloth seats. They look really nice with the red stitching.

When I placed my order Saturday, there were no additional requirements for the bedliner...or maybe I had already included them in my order.

Interesting...mine was off by 2k as well. The dealer added $299 for doc fees, and 331 for registration. I could not figure out where the extra $1370 came from, but i just went with it. I verified all invoice pricing from the configuration worksheet from the dealer...oh well

The invoice pricing in the options matrix are spot on with what I was provided from a dealer. The build sheet they sent me came out to a total msrp $53,510, just like the Jeep website, FWP was $50,548, and FFP was $50,118.

I’ve been amazed looking at the wide variance of pricing. Some of you getting quoted above MSRP and some of you getting quotes below invoice. I had a similar situation happen with me. The first dealership I contacted wouldn’t even talk about discounting below MSRP and even said they might even be above that. Granted, this was in regards to an LE. I then started following this forum and and learned a lot from all of you. Based on some comments I read I reached out to Kent at Peterson in Nampa ID. The first thing I noted was he was a Jeep guy himself and a straight shooter. No bullshit, no wheeling and dealing, just the deal he offers everyone. Refreshing because too often I want to squeeze the life out of most dealers I have met. Getting to business, I ordered an almost completely loaded Rubi (minus smokers package, headliner and block heater) and my MSRP came to $62,255. Kent is offering the same deal I’ve heard he always has on Jeeps which is 7% below invoice + tax, title and doc fee with conventional financing and tread lightly. In the end my discount was just over $8,000! That means my adjusted price was $54,253! I haven’t read every post in this forum but thus far I don’t believe I’ve heard of anyone as competitive as that. I think Travis at TriCity does something similar but he’s way across the country. I didn’t know Kent before I purchased my JT so this isn’t a ole buddy pimping his friend. That being said, he’s a cool laid back guy that will drop everything and just chat Jeeps with you.

According to my dealer, steel bumpers are now closed out for orders...and believes LED lights will be next? Wasn’t sure what this meant but sounds like he’s familiar with this dance?

I hope you negotiated a better price than MSRP. My configuration preview shows 2 columns of pricing...one for MSRP and the other headed FWP which I assume is invoice. Below that, there are lines for "HB" (holdback?), FFP (affiliate pricing), and EP (employee pricing?). I am paying the amount that is on the FFP line which is just slightly above the EP amount and far enough below the invoice column to make me happy.

I initially contacted about a dozen dealers in Utah and Colorado. As usual, some who advertise internet sales refuse to give a price online. I cross them off my list. Of those from whom I did get a price, the majority refused to budge more than $500 from MSRP. When a nearby dealer came in with an initial quote below invoice, I jumped on it and did not even try to get him to go lower. I did so, in large part because of convenience. I contacted dealerships up to 500 miles away from Moab. This dealer is only 120 miles away. My closest dealer is 90 miles from Moab in Grand Junction, CO., and their Internet Manager did not even respond to my requests for a quote. When I ordered my '13 Rubicon from a dealer in Denver, the Grand Junction dealer also ignored my requests for a quote.

I also noticed that your dealer is placing your order as a Dealer Order rather than a sold order. It is my understanding (and I've been told this for at least 15 years by numerous dealers, not just Jeep) that sold orders take priority over dealer orders. Mine shows "1 - Sold Order" on that line.
It interesting to read the negotiating . I have ordered a new Jeep every 3 years and been very happy with invoice . When I was made aware of the gladiator I called my dealer daily for months . On 4/19 he took the day off after me telling him how important this was for his dealership and my order. He handed me off to a salesperson who didn’t have a clue . I must have called 25 times that day after the Jeep people called me up until 3 o’clock . I finally understood the dealer really didn’t care . So I googled Jeep gladiator forum to see what others were experiencing and the first post was from spirit lake 3-5% below invoice . I did the math and called him and thankful I did because I still haven’t received a call from the original dealer.

Spirit lake is literally 10 hours from me but saving that kind of money and the awesome treatment I’ve recieved so far I have zero issues with the travel. Had I waited fir the first dealer I would if never got the opportunity to own the launch .
