I've had the jeep 1 month and noticed a "creek" when turning the steering from a dead stop

Evidently the dealer said that there is an issue with steering column in those gladiators made before Oct 2020. Mine was made on Aug. Tough luck.

It's getting replaced on Monday but have any of you had this issue yet?

You are the first I have heard of it. I have a early 2020 with a 5/19 build date and have had no such issue.

Edit: I have no idea why that pdf link is named that. Got it from car complaints website.

EDIT 2: there is a revised TSB from Feb, but document not available:

TSB Document:
  • Sorry, the NHTSA has not posted this TSB document yet.
You can still get the detailed info from Jeep for this TSB. Call your local Jeep dealer's service department & ask for a copy of TSB# S2119000001 Rev..

New steering column is installed and noise is still there so it has nothing to do with the column.

The dealership managed to put my steering wheel and now it rubs on the plastic behind the steering wheel when turning a sharp right. Another thing for them to fix.

But I'm not sure what else it could be. The odd thing is that the noise is very subtle and only happens after startup and a tad after I put it in drive. Once after the initial noise, it never makes it anymore until next time I startup and put back into drive and make a slight turn.

My Overland is in the dealer’s for a similar noise. First they thought is was a wheel bearing and changed the LF bearing.
Then the noise persisted so they involved JeeP engineering and now 1 of the front axles is being replaced. At the same time I have a leaking RR axle seal which means another axle change out.
Might get it back in 8-10 days.

Okay, so after looking a little more, it's only after the jeep has been sitting for a bit. I start up, get up to 15mph and that's when I hear the metal on metal for 1/2 second in front end. It's exactly 15 mph. It has nothing to do with steering column as I made sure I didn't touch the week or try to go around a curve. It's faint, but I can feel it in the steering wheel.

Some things come to mind

1. Rotors
2. Differential maybe?
3. drive shaft?

It's something mechanical and not electrical. I was trying to brainstorm to think what is mechanical and actually moving at that speed.

No such luck, dealer has no information on when axles will be delivered. Might get it back in a month from now. It sits parked at the dealer.
