2023 Jeep Gladiator gas engine.. sounds like a faulty camshaft component? 500 miles

@JeepCares I took this to the dealership they said it would take them 5-6 weeks minimum to look at it. I have this issue PLUS my brakes are hissing. The dealership is refusing to provide a loaner and said Jeep itself needs to provide that. I can’t go without a car for 6 weeks. video of engine noise on idle attached

That actually sounds pretty normal. These engines are pretty noisey and clattery I have found. There is also a PVC/purge valve that makes a clicking noise on the top passenger side that is sometimes confused with an engine tick issue. Not sure about your hissing brakes.

Sounds normal to me. That's why manufacturers put sound deadening under the hood, to quiet some of that noise.

Sounds normal , you have to remember there are 4 cams, 24 Valves 48 rockers sounds fine . When it is a pronounced tick then be more concerned

Sounds normal , you have to remember there are 4 cams, 24 Valves 48 rockers sounds fine . When it is a pronounced tick then be more concerned

And the timing chains - quiet but not totally.

No one should be hearing an alternator unless it's under heavy load or has a bad diode. They should be QUIET.
If you can hear an alternator, get it scoped - or it means you are taxing the electric system with something, but a bad diode will make a quiet alternator sing a bit.
