2023 Jeep Gladiator Order…What step are you in?

There was a recent recall on the MT for the backup lights and rear camera not working when you shift it into reverse. I think they have a fix idea, but not one in the wild yet.

Our Gladiator is sitting at the dealer for pickup. Too bad I can't go get it for another 2 weeks! Its still showing Shipped/ KZM with a TBD date on the trackers.

Just an FYI, if you are in shipped status and your order goes from having a delivery date to TBD, it may be at your dealer. It happened with my Ram earlier this year and the Gladiator did the same thing.

I ordered a 2024 and just saw this on the Jeep website tracker today, it hasn't been on there before on mine.

I got the same notice on my order a couple of days ago. It went from 10/11 delivery to TBD.

Mine said the same thing and its at the dealer awaiting pickup after my date went from 10/5 to TBD. The tracker never seems to show it delivered to the dealer. I think it switches to that after you take delivery. You may want to reach out to your dealer and see if they have any better update where its at.

My dealer also gave me a Vin the day after I ordered about 3 weeks ago and it still doesn't show up on any of the trackers. I thought that was odd too.

This is my second round of Stellantis online trackers and the only thing consistent with them is that they are always inconsistent. Guys on the Ram forum for my other order had the same problem with the tracker. One guy got updates, the next wouldn't see anything for a month. This time I got emails from Stellantis on each step and then it stopped at build status. I jsut happened to check it one day at random and it showed built. Those trackers are a bit wonky.

And who knows what the strike is doing. I'm guessing that tracker stopped updating when they walked out. Can your dealer confirm you are at least in confirmed order status?

My buddy ordered a manual JL wrangler in Bikini color a week before my Gladiator and his is still stuck in C status while mine is at the dealer for pickup. I think all the manual recalls are messing his up from proceeding in addition to the strike.

Yes, it actually went from C to D but not D1. Being a 24, the builds were not supposed to start until 11/13 before the strike so heaven knows now.

I reached out to my dealer yesterday and there is no change on their end either. They are in the dark as much as we are. I contacted Customer Care (again) and they assigned a case number to my order and told me its been put on a priority list. I'm still not holding my breath that anything changes till the strike is over.

@tarndesigns and I have been on a priority list for a loooooooong time. It means nothing. I wonder what the record is.

I’m at scheduled still. The date my dealer had for the build to be completed has been pushed back 1 time by 2 weeks. Currently sitting at 10/13 I believe for the build completion. Which isn’t gonna happen but we shall see!

I have ordered 4 vehicles, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK, which I tracked obsessively only to be disappointed in the fact that the tracking so inaccurate it almost drove me to the brink of insanity. So when I ordered my 2021 Ram 1500 and my 2022 Ford F450 I did what I am going to do with this 2023 Gladiator order. Just wait until the dealer calls me to tell me hey here is your VIN and then the call that lets me know it’s at their lot and it’s ready for delivery. That’s the best way to keep your sanity IMO.

Just wait until the dealer calls me to tell me hey here is your VIN and then the call that lets me know it’s at their lot and it’s ready for delivery. That’s the best way to keep your sanity IMO.

This is definitely the way to do it. And when things are normal and it’s the 8-12 week lead time that works quite well. The problem comes when you have things like recalls and stop sales and/or now the UAW strike, it’s tempting to keep track. Especially when you may need an additional vehicle due to growing family of drivers or turning in a lease or just trying to keep an old vehicle operational.

But in any case it’s completely out of one’s control. The customer service group is completely useless. They have no more information than your dealer has. The priority list means nothing. All that means is someone from customer service checks the tracking info every 10 days and sends you an email saying they have no additional information. Basically the only thing good the tracker does is tell you yours was or wasn’t built before a stop sale was issued or a strike was looming and then help you make the choice for when it has been so long that you should give up and buy something off a lot.

I ordered a Taco, got it 6 weeks later. With a manual. And damn is it a fine truck. And it exists. I don't know why you're still waiting. Apparently there's another recall on the JTs going on.

No I gave up in August. Now I have my eyes on a couple Mojave and Rubicon 6MTs sitting on lots that they can’t sell until the recalls are addressed. They have big discounts marked on them but can’t sell them. I’ll cosider picking one of those up when they can sell them.
