I bought a set of 200 mile take offs and springs Shocks are painted red not Fox labeled. Does anyone no if the red painted is any better then what comes on a 2022 Max tow.

Fox shocks aren't being included anymore with the 23s in wrangler or gladiator. If they are red then what you bought were Rubicon take-offs from a Wrangler. They are the same shocks that come on a Gladiator Willys.
Pretty sure the max tow shocks are just the standard shocks that are on any sport/sport S so the red shocks should be an improvement.
to be clear - they are NOT fox shocks.
also if you swap out the springs on your max tow then you will be losing an important portion of the thing that makes the truck a max tow.

Also, my 23' JTRD came with red shocks, so it's not a JL only thing. If they are red then what you bought were Rubicon take-offs from a Wrangler. They are the same shocks that come on a Gladiator Willys.

No longer Fox just for the Rubicon, right? I haven't heard of any Mojaves received without them being Fox.Fox shocks aren't being included anymore with the 23s in wrangler or gladiator.
Correct, the mojave has one off custom bypass fox shocks so I dont expect those to go anywhere. No longer Fox just for the Rubicon, right? I haven't heard of any Mojaves received without them being Fox.
And of course, none of the other trims were Fox that I know of.
To be fair, the red shocks on the 23s are leaps and bounds better than the Fox's on the 22s and older.Correct, the mojave has one off custom bypass fox shocks so I dont expect those to go anywhere.
The EJS concepts were using bilstein shocks this year so perhaps a new partnership will form there.
Just a FYI, rear Wrangler Shocks will not fit a Gladiator and the same going the other way.If they are red then what you bought were Rubicon take-offs from a Wrangler. They are the same shocks that come on a Gladiator Willys.
My belief is that technically they are not Mopar/Jeep parts. The red bodied shocks are produced by Tenneco, who is an 3rd party OEM provider of shocks, and is also who makes Rancho. It's a shame there was never a press release detailing the shock change. My question is, what is the difference between the willys and rubi shocks, are they the same P/N?Thanks everyone . Funny today went to Jeep dealer with red shocks and part numbers front and back don’t come up as a part
