2023 Stereo Upgrades

Hello, Jeep first timer here. Is it possible to replace the head unit on my 23 Gladiator? Looking for something with much more tech and hopefully a larger screen.

I'm curious what you mean by 'more tech'? When I've got CarPlay ™️ going, I'm not feeling like anything is missing.

Upgrades are limited and expensive due to the integration of vehicle functions in the head unit. You cannot just stick anything in there like you could years ago. The most upgrade flexibility comes if you start with the basic five inch screen unit. There is no real advantage to be gained if you already have the factory head unit with the 8.4 inch screen. It is more than adequate when using Android Auto or Apple Car Play connected with a USB cable.

What year is your Gladiator? Your profile says 2024 but I thought all 2024s came with the new UConnect system and large screen? That pic looks like a 2023 or earlier.

I guess here’s an option but id’d just stick with what you have stock which is more than enough for me.

If you want to keep the stock rear view camera, there aren't many options. Stinger makes a nice unit, however it's a bit pricey

The problem with that solution is that it doesn't add wireless Apple Carplay which for the price is a bust.

Stinger has multiple units that fit, Alpine has a couple units, Phoenix automotive has some as well. I imagine there are a few others you can find.

Edit: Just thought of another. Prolific audio has 2 pretty nice Sony options.

I’ve never seen that one. At least it doesn’t have those hideous vents like the other one they have.

I’m perfectly happy with my 8.4” though. I honestly think it’s pretty nice and intuitive and it never lags or malfunctions.
