2024 Mojavicon to be

FL Robert, I saw you're planning on putting a SmartCap on it. I have had one on mine the last three years and it is EPIC. That said, I'm looking to sell it as I'm trading my Gladiator in. It's in great shape and currently has a rhino rack on it (76"x54"). I'm in Atlanta if you're interested.

It has a reinforcements on the frame, which unless you're doing some mild jumps or full time high speed travel over desert trails is moot..... (I live in the mojave desert)
As for the knuckles, my 23 JTRD has the same exact knuckles that mojave has.... I also have a shit ton more power

Why do you need to be in 4lo in the sand? If you've got plenty of power and a tazer 4hi does just fine and then you have a real crawl gear for when you need it...

To build a Rubicon into something as capable as a Mojave, I would need to reinforce the frame, if that is even possible, change the steering knuckles, replace the shocks all around, lift it,

lift it? Why? It's the same height as my Overland with 1.25" lift which matches my wife's Rubicon exactly. I've measured frame to ground and the Mojave sits no higher than my Overland with Synergy front springs under it. I needed to know for snow plow use. I won't need a different plow mount if I go Mojave because it doesn't sit higher than my Overland does with a slight lift.
If a Mojave sits higher than a Rubicon, that means a Rubicon sits lower than my Overland does now.

Likely higher rate, not heavier duty.

Springs can be swapped so easily.............

Only because you have a diesel. The Mojave has the same frame and knuckles as the diesel JT.
You aren't really comparing apples to apples.
How about comparing a GAS Rubicon to a Mojave.

The shocks and springs are designed to specifically work together, so just changing spring rate would throw off the shock tuning and vice versa.

The rate needs to match the weight of the truck. Putting the same rate springs on a Mojave as the Mojave X would see the X sitting a bit lower.
You see spring rate differences between Rubicon with steel bumper vs. Rubicon with plastic bumper - to support the added weight.
All of the other levels base spring rate on vehicle weight to hold the same curb height across that level of JT.
To use Mojave springs on a loaded Mojave X would see a lower curb height on the X than the Mojave.

The Rubicon has heavier rear springs for payload and tow rating, not really the bumpers.

I've found at least 3 different Rubicon front spring numbers. I don't recall the rear spring numbers I've run across.

When choosing between Mojave and Rubicon, I drew upon my experience with JKU Rubi's and the JT max tow. I found the 2.72 transfer case to be better for my use on Nevada hunting trails, and appreciate the Mojave upgrades to frame, knuckles, shocks, seats, steering wheel. I figure if I later find a "need" for a front locker and/or sway bar disconnect, they are relatively easy to add. I have set up a lot of differential gears, so could add a locker to the existing Mojave front differential. Alternatively, I might find a take-off Rubicon front axle and control its locker with a switch, perhaps one of the Auxiliary Switches.

Didn’t somebody show that the Rubicons have a different carrier and OEM locker wouldn’t fit non-Rubicon axle?

Stock Mojave already comes with a skid plate, only difference is the bumper itself which is about 30 pounds, so it only needs a few extra pounds per inch since it's shared and that's only in the front. The rear Rubicon springs are where it's much stiffer than the Mojave and the x isn't going to do much back there vs the stock Mojave.

Can't speak to Mojave, but there's a bit of weight difference between the two skid plates (minimal, I have one of each) and adding the center section of steel bumper to my overland settled it, a bit more with the ends on - I'd have to look at my notes to see how much but there's more than 30 pounds between the steel and plastic bumpers from what I felt when lifting each. I might have the shipping weight of my steel bumper in a picture somewhere. Of course that includes the box!
Overland springs are lower rate than Mojave although taller.

The Mojave X also has a miniscule payload number, well under the number of my Overland. I think it was like 860 or similar.
Of course, I can't compare to the payload of a Mojave non-X as I didn't get any pictures of door stickers while at the dealership - only for the X.

Believe it or not, my 2022 overland has lower payload than my 2020 even though they are identically equipped save for aux switches and the SelecTrac transfer case.

All I know is that I put my Overland next to a Mojave X and measured - my rear receiver sits roughly the same height, and the front frame sits the same height as my Overland.
My Overland is currently sits about 1.25" higher than a stock Overland. The same as a stock Mojave X. (well, the X is 1/8" higher, really.
Now if you figure my tires are 32.2" and the Mojave tires are 32.8" (assumed for a 33" tire) - that would make a Mojave X on my tires sit LOWER than my Overland.
With identical tires, my Overland would sit higher.
