The company claims -3 to -6 db reduction and it is noticeable. Cuts down the wind noise a bit but it will never be like riding in a Lexus or similar luxury vehicle when it comes to interior noise levels.

Heat reduction is also noticeable. I am tall at 6'3" and my head notices that there is no longer that pocket of radiant heat permeating through the Freedom Top panels any more. I got just the basic liner option but the company does sell a radiant heat barrier option to use with these liners to reduce heat levels even more.
I am 6’3” also, actually a touch more, and that would be appealing.

Installed a Amazon special Trail Rail System today. Kept my expectations pretty low before receiving it but was pleasantly surprised as it seemed of decent quality with decent hardware. Chased the threads in the bed because of the bedliner material but everything installed easily with decent fit and finish.

Harbor Freight was having their Spring Black Friday sale and decided to pickup the Badlands APEX 12K winch for 35% off. Probably be a few weeks while other stuff comes in before I install it.

Installed the Quadratec "Carnivore" (stupid name) winch plate today. If I had to rate it, would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. The mounts that replace the factory OEM hooks is not exactly a drop in for the bumper plastic recess slots and has to be "massaged" in. Mount hardware washers are also a bit weak and do not think they are a 10.9 class washer like the bolt is and probably be looking for some thicker ones to change out in the future.

Overall, it is functional and solid when mounted up and bolted down. Will work on getting the winch installed tomorrow or this weekend.

Got the Badland APEX 12K winch installed. Not exactly digging the slight body roll with it. Figured the previously installed Rubicon Diesel Suspension with a steel bumper option would compensate for this but I guess not. My previous Gladiators did not have this issue but they were with aftermarket springs, shocks and track bars.

There is never a free lunch it seems when you add something.

You will like the 12k Apex. Do you think the winch is in the way for cooling? Does the Apex winch fit in a Steel Rubicon bumper?

Had a SmityBuilt 12K winch on my last Rubicon Gladiator and think this one appears to be of better build quality. It is not a WARN but most of the anecdotal feedback on the internet is positive on it.

As to cooling, I have ran high mount winches before on my other Gladiators and cooling was never an issue. With the 24+ models with the grille redesign, there is some like 30% more available air flow so I am not worried about cooling.

Fitting the steel Rubicon bumper, I have heard some people have to trim or cut down the spool engagement handle. You have to dig into that if you want more info.

Actually did look at the RockHard 4x4 winch plate. It is the better plate but is $100 ish more and availability sometimes is spotty.

The Warn 12k fit nice without trimming or shimming with the Rubicon steel bumper and the Warn baseplate. I was just wondering how the Apex would fit. I ha e it on my Silverado and it is awesome. Even the wireless feature works well.

I have the Warn plate, "takeoff" Factory steel bumper and 12K BL Synthetic. Mine fits just fine and doesn't block any airflow. I think my lights might block more airflow than the winch lmao.

I've been interested in doing this in my Anvil Grey Gladiator as well.. FL things.

How do you like them? Are the black?
LIke it a lot. Reduces inside temps a bit and a few db's on interior noise.

Set I have is black, but they do offer a gray version also.

Weather warmed up and got around to installing the Rubicon Diesel springs and shocks I picked up awhile back.

Netted me about 1.5" of lift in the front and and 1" in the back. Halfway expect it to ride pretty stiff but was pleasantly surprised how smooth it rides. When I put on 33's (285/70/17) with the stock Sport suspension, it was stiff and jarring on some bumps in the road, but that is all gone with this setup now and shows how well properly tuned shocks and springs are when matched with the correct tire size.

I can see that. My take off rubicon LE suspension wasn’t great with my factory 32” all season tires. It was stiff and bouncy. I ran like that for maybe a few weeks. When I put my 286/70/18 E load Revo 3s on it, it started to ride and handle great and felt really planted. I’ve been running like that for over four years now and it’s been good but still had a slight rear bounce occasionally when completely unloaded. Now that I finally put a metal bumper and a winch on it, it rides perfectly. Any bounce is completely gone and the front and rear are evenly matched. I bet it’s even more of a difference with diesel springs.
