Alright y’all buckle up; it’s a long one.

I recently had new LED Mopar headlights kit, front turn signals, tail lights, and fog lights housing installed by a reputable third party company on my 2025 Jeep Gladiator Nighthawk. Original halogen packaging (The part #s are the Sku#s there in the picture attached.)

The people who installed it said all works except I need to take it to a local dealership to get the system reprogrammed to LED. It’s a MUST even according to mopars site. Needs codes LPY and LPX. After my second trip to the dealership, Dealership said they can’t install the code LPY??

Here are my two issues: 1. front turn signals don’t consistently work (see video) and the car thinks there’s a “front turn signal light bulb out.” And no halos are present.

dealership wants me to come out a 3rd time to physically look at all the wiring and open it back up again… but before that I would like to resolve this without too many hands in the pot.

I’m ordering a OBD2 and cable and using a jscan app myself Sunday

any ideas or help?

Do I take it to another dealership for a second opinion on programming?? Do I just put back in the original halogen front turn signals and switch out the bulb to LED compatible bulbs at the end of the day??
This is a nightmare

Any automotive shop that does tuning or diagnostics should be able to tweak those parameters I believe. Most of the good ones pay the price to get access to the software to work on vehicles so you may want to start there. Sounds like they just want some billable hours out of you to me.

I already spent $200 with these guys not fixing the problem. So should I try a different dealership if this jscan doesn’t work?

I would go to a different one and talk to a service manager and explain exactly what you want and ask them point blank, “Can you do it or not? Can you write it up as exactly what I want to happen?” If they can’t, go elsewhere. If they start pulling flowers out of their throat that means they can’t but they’ll take your cash anyway and tell you they can’t afterwards.

Side markers will always throw codes. the wiring harness is different. you want to depin the sense wire. hidden ones...no check engine...just upon scan.

get AlfaOBD. dealers are dumb.

LPY won't work properly as it adds fault sense which you have no harness for. You need to manually turn on everything except the settings for fault sense.

You should be able to update it with Jscan or AlfaOBD. Having the dealer add the codes to your VIN keeps the changes from being erased when the computer software is updated. The option had to be available from Jeep for your VIN for the dealer to be able to get the codes added to the system.

You don't want LPY tho.... unless you ran the wires which would be a NIGHTMARE.

I thought more about this. It's good dealer 'can't' add LPY. Truck wiring harness is not compatible. 1 wire goes to a completely different place on the BODY SIDE connector.

My video;

let us know if it works. I am not a fan of jscsn but it may work. AlfaOBD allows granular control. I've added many OEM options to my JT including the Front Trailcam. AlfaOBD is flawless.

Will do. I do think the unpinning of pin 1 will work. I’m assuming the people who installed would be able to do that for me? Or would any auto parts? I want to avoid the dealership like the plague. The dealership did do their part and added the LPX code and made it all LED

No dealer...or any shop... knows of what I did...in my opinion.

Now as for the daytime running halos on the headlights? Will that need a 4th cable? Confirmed with the installed that there are 4 cables coming out of the headlights? This would be the part I need though

As of 2021 all JT have the 'Halo wire' in the harness... as far as I know. 2020 had to run it. BCM programming should turn it on.
