I would much rather have Fathom as a standard color than Hydro, I think it looks far better with the black grille than Hydro by a mile.

Soon as they offer Fathom in the 5.7L Hemi with a manual I'll think about buying it. Hear that Jeep??
I saw Fathom for the first time and SMJI and it is a NICE color.

Not even close! That's way off by several shades. Whew, my wife doesn't dare see that abomination.

wow, that's really off!
Reign is deeper.

The top image was the target color/match. Looks close to me. Especially coming from a previous color like Gator, the color can vary quite a bit depending on lighting and time of day.

Either way, it was a "quick" (as stated) 5-minute job just to give an idea of what a purple Gladiator looks like. Not intended for anyone to make a go/no-go decision on a Reign JT.

And thanks for the abomination shout-out. :CWL:

Different light really changes those. The lights in the show room gave it one look while sun and varying clouds keep changing it as well. It's got hints of green, blue, and red buried in the metallic flecks.
The Wrangler wears it nicely, but I'd have to see a jt in person.......

Pulled mine off and put them in the bolt holder day 1. I haven't touched them since.
We're supposed to put them back on? Are the doors going to fall off or something if we don't?

A quick disconnect retrofit has been available for awhile now from the aftermarket. I do generally prefer OEM whenever possible, but I have a feeling the cost is going to be 3-4 times more for this at minimum and you'll probably have to replace the entire check arm assembly in the door unless we get luck and they kept the inner diameter the same for the pin. The reason the pin stays that high in the bracket is to keep it out of the lower door hinge. It has an E clip to keep it from going lower.

I ordered this, and just did the install on my passenger front. Worked great. The brackets come in raw steel, so I painted them with mopar billet silver to match the body. I also pulled the key ring intended ti pull the pin. It was too large in my opinion.

Looks great! Mine should be here Wednesday and I'll probably just hit the brackets with some black paint. I'm officially declaring it half-door season here now so I don't expect to need to swap my full doors back on for awhile, giving me plenty of time.

Opposite here. Snow will be here any day now.

My bracket kit just showed up (thanks FedEx and your constant delays!) and I feel even better about buying this kit now as it seems like a much better and more well thought out solution than trying to rig up a DIY pin. There is a bushing included that gets pressed into the check arm to keep it operation smoothly and prevent a clicking noise that apparently occurs without it.

As for the unfinished nature of the brackets, they appear to be stainless steel (they're not magnetic) so I'm not even worried about painting them at this point. They also mention that the ring should be kept flipped back (not forward) to prevent small dings or dents to the inside of the door and hinge. I'll evaluate that after install but might consider swapping the ring for some paracord of something similar.

Good timing. I just did my other three doors. I’ve completely removed the split ring. I think it could be a source of rattling, and could flip the wrong way easily and hit paint. Nice catch on it not being magnetic. I didn’t check that. Oh well, I like that I painted them as they blend in more when the doors are off. So far I’m using a piece of insulated 12awg solid copper wire to slip through to remove them. But I think what they need is a very short T post in there, just only 3/4” max to avoid hitting things. For install, I used the Lin with the sleeve around it to start the sleeve the first 1/8”. Then removed the Lin and carefully pressed it in with wide pliers. The sleeves are soft and would easily distort. Since that happened in the first one I did. Then I learned. The 5/16 drill out is absolutely necessary for the sleeve to fit.

Thanks for the tips on the bushings! Some insulated wire was also a thought on creating a "soft" ring for them.

And I definitely appreciated the Delrin hinge pin extensions I put on awhile back when I swapped to my half doors last week!

Not being "magnetic" could be multiple things. Stainless would be pretty expensive, but it's possible. Seems like overkill, and stainless against aluminum? Hmmmmmmm.
