2026 Willys front “skid plate” bracket- is it bent?

Hi friends. I ripped off the plastic cover below the stock front bumper. It was torn off backing out of deep mud. Rather than refasten it, I just removed it.

My question is, are the tabs where the cover was attached bent forward during maneuver, or is this how they are supposed to look? I don’t plan on replacing the cover, but if I change my mind, I want it to be correct.

Yes, but they look thin and not worth much protection.

There are lots of real skid plates (made of steel) online off of 2020s through 2025s, there easy to replace, if your wheeling or mudding Replace it.
