Overland sounds most appropriate, but between the 2 if you aren't going off-road and aren't modifying then the Mojave is the better mall crawler

That would be awesome to see two high velocity yellow Gladiators in a driveway.
I know I get looks from people having multiple Jeeps in my driveway.
It is especially awesome when family comes over. They all drive Jeeps, making it look like a used Jeep dealer.

Personally I choose the Mojave with ZERO regret. I would tell you to go drive both and decide from there and make your decision. I LOVE the color you are looking at!!!

The one "caution" I'd tell you is that if you do plan to possibly modify the truck down the road, get the Rubicon, because like 70% of the aftermarket "stuff" are not compatible with the Mojave.

That's one of the more hyperbolic statements i've ever seen

Okay, yeah my 70% is probably high, but my comment is TRUE. My POINT is a decent amount of aftermarket stuff that will fit a Rubicon may NOT fit a Mojave.

My comment is TRUE, maybe the percentage is off from the "real number" but a true comment. My POINT is alot of aftermarket stuff that will fit a Rubicon may NOT fit a Mojave.
anything that doesn't touch the hood, cowls, or certain suspension components won't matter. In order to fall into a threshold that i would refer to as "accurate within a degree of reason" you'd need to be at least close. 70% is an astonishingly high number, and one i'd posit is an order of magnitude higher than the real number.

For example, i'm 11k into my mojave, and have yet to run into a single modification that i wanted to do that I couldn't because it's a mojave. Even my list of dream mods only has one item that would require a mojave specific version but isn't mojave restricted.

Everything interior? fine. Everything bed related? fine. Everything top related? fine. Everything bumper related? fine. Everything skid related? fine. Everything of an electrical nature excluding cowl mounted lights? fine. Everything engine related? fine. Everything brake related? fine. Everything wheels and tires? fine.

There's just no way anyone thinks cowl lights, cowl secured over-windshield lightbar mounts, and suspension lifts equate to 70% of the aftermarket. Trying to convince a new buyer of such shouldn't be something that can be passed off as okay because it feels "true enough'.

FYI, my bolt hood lock, cowl mounted lange original coyotes, and apex autolynx work just fine despite my different hood, cowls, and suspension.

Really? 70% ? Nonsense...

Pretty much all the 392 hood/cowl specific stuff will fit the Mojave. The suspension (bolt size) compatibility is the real only other issue.

Did you drive either vehicles on the highway.
My Rubicon was awesome on local roads, but on the highway was a different story.
I replaced the shocks and it is much better now.

My dad has a Mojave - same year as my Rubicon. It is awesome on local roads and the highway.

My point is - do an extended test drive and go buy the Mojave.
I don't think resale will matter between the two models.
How were the shocks affecting your ride on the highway and what shocks did you change to? Just curious.

@High Alextude the best describer is wallow. I felt like the Rubicon with OEM Fox would rock back and forth at highway speed. I switched to Bilstein 5100 in the 0 - 1.5 length in the front.
I still have the Fox in the rear. The backs are currently on back order.

I do feel the Bilsteins are a big improvement for a minimal expense.

If you're going to correct me, then get your facts straight bro - the bumpers/skidplates can be different because of the placement of the Mojave shock reservoir.

I am 70% sure that suspension compatibility includes the shock reservoirs...

Not sure what he means about the bumper being different, scared to ask because he might rip my head off ?
The skid plate on a Mojave is a little different than the other models. The remote reservoirs for the front shocks sit behind it. The skidplate attaches to the bumper and to the 'horns' on the front frame.

The skids are not directly interchangable but you can get them to fit with some trimming of either the bumper or the skid. I saw a guy on here that even moved his skid mount down and was able to get it to fit only using the lower mounting bolt
