Quick question on the above tire size: Will they stay within the stock fenders?
I purchased takeoff Rubi rims and I'm looking at Toyo Open Country AT3 tires in 285/75r17 size but I hate the appearance of tires outside of the fenders - and I don't want to throw more road grime on my truck than is necassary (I drive 98% on road).

Thanks for any info!

They should. My 12.5ā€ wide tires on rubi rims stay inside the fender/wheel wells.

Yes, they stay inside, I installed 285/75/17 Toyo AT III on my stock wheels on stock max tow.

Thank you both for the info. And those Toyo’s are what I’m looking at.
@Mac what sort of fuel economy did you lose with them? I’m still torn between 255 and 285 and there is the 10lb per tire difference I’m considering

I have those Toyo's and are excellent. with the +1 fuels and poke is around 1" -2"out of a max tow fender. I think the factory Rubi rim is like +10 so it should be flush.

I am at 17.6mpg for lifetime, which is around 12k miles. My Toyos are the LR C ones not the LR E.
I believe the stock sport and Rubicon rims are +44

The factory rubi rim is +44
And yes to original poster’s question
Fuel economy will however drop probably 1-2 mpg with the 285/75/17 Toyos
