Very well could be. Yet we have some Italian built New Holland tractors on the farm with zero issues. Pre def fluid too.

Read in one article about the CP4 pumps. In Europe, there in less than 1% failure rate. In the US, there is just over a 3% failure rate. And the blame is on the difference between diesel fuels.
In order for the recall to have reared its head, I’m inclined to believe the failure rate is higher for us. Could also be a difference between where the pumps are manufactured, the quality of the labor pool.

Like everyone else, I have little control over the quality of my diesel fuel, but like supplements that claim to extend your lifespan, I’m probably wasting my dollars buying the Peak “platinum” DEF. I want to believe it’s true, though.

You: “I’d like to get some information about when I can expect repairs for the fuel pump recall affecting my diesel Gladiator.”

Service Department: “Recall? Don’t know anything about a recall.”

You: Phone in their face with the recall notice on the screen. “This recall!”

Service Department: “Let me see that again. Oh, what do you know, there is a recall. Let me get you added to the list.”

You: “List? I thought you said you didn’t know anything about the recall?”

?
Heard it won’t start until 2nd QTR of 2023 ?

They’re following the VA playbook.

Deny, deny, until you die.

Between accidents and other engine failures, trade-in attrition, and some of us dying by COVID or other natural causes, the number of needed repairs will keep declining, lol.

My 2022 JT built in April isn't showing to be under recall but my 2020 JL is.
What is up with that?

Probably what I’ve already speculated before. It’s likely they’ve known about this issue for awhile and were waiting until the problem/failures hit critical mass in large numbers, while also fielding what they had for good parts.

That's what is odd to me. My 2022 built in April isn't showing up.

Like the air bag recall. That's still going on.

That’s a funny, but not-so-funny topic, too.

Mine had a build date of 4/22. I matched my window sticker against the options listed on the Jeep website in July when I purchased it, and the price of the options had increased by around $900.

I was damn lucky that the dealership probably didn’t realize that and print a new sticker, or otherwise jack the price.

Mine came from a small Missouri dealership. $66k-something MSRP, got it for $61k. A no b.s deal. No paint protection, nitrogen in the tires, bogus car alarm, etc. Just the truck and a refreshingly honest deal for a change.

Mine at almost the same 4581 miles on it. 45 days waiting on parts. But I got an extended warranty of 125k 7 year and disappearing deductible. Plus rental car either reimbursement or they foot the bill out of the gate.
