HLAs in any modern engine are noisy. Some engines are a bit on one side of the tolerances and 'looser'. I don't think you have a problem.

your tick sound. was it same as mine? watch vid above.

my car is same. tick sound get gone after few mins.
it is always hard to tell through recorded media as to how close the sound is, however, from what i can tell, yes it sounds very similar.

That's exactly what I say about almost any video posted with sound "what's this sound".
You not only have the cheap-ass phone microphone dealing with the sound, you have the file compression, the equalization of a cheap phone as a sound source, then the reproduction of the sound on the other end. By the time it gets to our ears........ "what sound"?
Volume changes compared to other background sounds in the video, pitch, all of it, changes.
Phones are horrible recording devices, IMO and you lose the depth that two ears give you - relative distance compared to other sounds at that time and so on.

Did this ever get any worse? Mine does the same thing at startup and keeps doing until coolant and oil temps are up to operating range. Then it’s full stop. It didn’t do it this summer, only when it’s sat overnight and it’s coolish to cool…
