Everyone is spot on.

Remember that in order to get more ground clearance there are two ways. A lift, raises the body. A tire, raises the axles and differential.

You can have a 4 inch lift on 33s, but your differential can get caught. You can have just tires, but your body can still get caught or tires rub.

The real question is what are you going to use it for. In stock form is the perfect balance. Tires and lift mods are shifting that to less on road comfort to more off road capable.

For MY needs I went 37s on stock wheels and suspensions on my Rubicon. I'll be doing some mild offroading but this will be 95% daily driver for 1 hour commutes. So for today this will serve me. If I find I want to do more difficult trails, I'll go to aftermarket fenders for more clearance. I doubt I'll be adding a lift as I don't think I'll be doing that extreme off roading as it's a new truck and I'll be stressing out of damages instead of enjoying the experience.

Here's mine. Stock suspension and tires with the stock Rubicon/higher fenders. Hope this helps.

I would really appreciate any suggestion / comment on this matter …..
If any of you guys run 37s on rubicon stock rims …did you have to add spacers to your wheels ?

did you ever get an answer? I am curious, because this is the next upgrade, and if I need wheel spacers I would rather buy them now to have them ready when tires and lift get here.

I'm running the SST 2.5" lift on 315 70 17 BFG ko2 tires and stock wheels and I average about 18.3- 18.5 on my Max tow with stock 4.10 gears. Not sure what you will get out of a Rubicon on 37's but if your getting 16, a good guess would be around 13, I lost about 2 mpg average when I went to 35's.

I did not add spacers. I had the plastic Rubicon bumpers and had no rubbing at full turn.

Here is a shot down the truck...

No spacers for me... No rubbing four on road driving. Haven't taken her off road yet. But I assume I'll rub the fenders with the sway bar disconnected.

What loss of acceleration did you see when going to 35"s?

Not much if any at all. Honestly it does really well on the 37'S as well. I definitely didn't see any problem speeding up to get over or trying to merge into traffic. Here is a 4 min or so stretch on I-85 to show the shift points on 35's and another one with me on 37's

37's

I didn't do a from stand still video on 35's but I can get one from stand still on 37's. With 4.10 gears on the Max Tow it does really well. I wouldn't dare do 37's on 3.73 gears, my buddy has 35's on his Overland and it gets less MPGs than my Max Tow on 37's. His doesn't drive bad but you can tell the lag compared to mine.

Also here are some pictures comparing the 35's to the 37's. I'm real happy with how it performs on the 37's and have seen no need to regear. I towed about 5,000 lbs of rock and trailer combo with it and it did great.

Ok, here is the acceleration video. This was a right turn onto the street so not a straight away but you can kinda get the idea. Does fine for me, you can reference the time in the video to see how long it took to get up to 70 mph. Imagine it would of been faster if I was on a straight away. This is on 37 12.5 17 Goodyear kevlar MTRs so a similar in weight 35 would more than likely get you there faster. Hopefully this helps @Gvsukids
