I thought I was set on these at3ws after running Patagonias for the past year, but the falken weigh a ton and are even slightly smaller than the ko2?! Both tires in 37x12.5 17.

Falken At3w: 82 lbs at 574 Revs per mile
Ko2: 64 lbs at 569 revs per mile.

now the KO2s don’t sound as bad.

Chances are the Falkens will outlast even KO2's, and the extra silica in the tread should help traction. The stock Falken 33's sound WEIRD on my YJ, you can really hear the compound with no doors or roof. The AT's work super well on rock aired down and are smooth to boot. I'd no prior experience with Falkens and now I think Jeep did us a solid putting premium tires on the JTR.

The KO2's are very good, I've been pleased with them across multiple vehicles over the years. I run the 315/70R17 KO2's on my JTR and they work WELL. I don't see you can go wrong either way.

18 lbs of unsprung weight is likely to be un-noticeable on a SFA, percentage wise that is very different to an IFS suspension.

I don’t think the silica is in the LT versions which what the 37s are…

After much research am going with the general grabber atx 37s.

They are lighter than the Wildpeaks, still command them 3psfm symbol for severe weather, and run true to size—larger than both the ko2 and wildpeaks.

We have had 37x12.50x17 Falken AT3W on the Gladiator for just over 25k miles now. I am really pleased with them. They seem to be wearing really well. I just rotated them this past weekend (5 tire rotation) and they have 15/32 of tread left. 19/32 from the factory.

You will not be dissapointed, i absolutely love these tires. Super quiet, great in the wet, and really good wear so far.

Thank you. I’ll be able to immediately test them out in some snow and ice and will report back with my thoughts.

They’ll arrive at discount tire next week. Feeling good about the choice.

Check out the Geolander XATs. We have them our JLR and will probably put them on the JTM.

@HoustonGobi now that it's probably been a couple of years, how did these hold up for you post 25k miles? I'm looking at either getting new KO2s or going with AT3W's in the next few weeks.
