After doing some research I read JL's can use 37's with no lift as long as you have the proper backspace between the wheel and the axles (for city driving only). With that in mind have any of you done it on the Gladiator? If so what is your set up?

I am planning to do a 3.5 inch lift but until that gets delivered to me and install I am debating on just mounting the wheels before then but I am still on the fence on getting the Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37/12.5/17 or the 37/13.5/17 (the 13.5 actually cost a bit less). Here is my set up:

Gladiator Rubicon
Wheels Fuel Zephyr -12 offset

Still debating on:
Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37/12.5/17 or 37/13.5/17
3.5 lift kit either Metalcloak Gamechanger or Clayton Offroad Overland Plus

If it's only getting driven on the street, you should be fine with putting the 37's on before the lift with those wheels. They will rub off-road though. The width is more of a preference thing, IMO the 12.5 looks better with a 37, but that's just my .02

Mmm...KM3s.

-12 offset and 13.5" wide tires are gonna poke a lot; if you drive in mud or gravel you will probably want mud flaps. I do look forward to seeing pics once you've got them mounted up!

Mounting 37 inch x12.5x18 nitto ridge grapplers on 18 inch black rhino wheels on 2021 JT diesel gladiator with no lift yet. The roof rack is a fishbone.

Wow. It’s amazing that they seem to fit. I don’t think I would do it with a non Rubicon though as you lose an inch due to the lower fenders.

Also keep in mind that I chose the 12.5 wide in 37 inch nitto ridge grappler because the wider the tire the worse in rain and especilly snow. They start to float on top of snow. 38 inch ridge grapplers move up to minimum 13.5 wide so I stayed with 37. But many on forum running 13.5 and they seem to like them.

Do you have a lot of rubbing? Have you done any rock crawling with them?
