OffRoad+, if you have it, should help also.
Yeah, nice to have in my Mojave.
It's not an engine problem, it's knowing how to handle it problem.

Why should we care if it revs? It pulls the weight without heat issues. I couldn't care less about keeping RPM low - that crap died decades ago. It tows the load and no heat issues. That's what matters.
I'd like to see a tow test, drag race style, between the 3.6 gasser and the 3.0 EcoDiesel. 0-60, rolling starts from 20 and 40, etc.
I know where I'd place my money.

Ya, your right foot makes all the difference.
But the OffRoad+, does make a difference.

Now maybe a 5.7 Hemi Wrangler for the wife, just maybe. Price would actually be more important than tow rating with the Wrangler, atleast for me.
We opted for the 3.6 JLU for my wife because the MPG of the v8 SUCKS. Who cares about 0-60 times.
And for me - it was towing - the 3.6 is rated higher.
So the 3.6 was a win for me and a win for my wife.
I don't want to have to stop for gas 1/3 more times just to have a V8 when the 6 does great. I don't think the V8 growl is worth all of that extra fuel costs.

But why would it matter?
If I still get there just fine? The torque converter lets me take off fine.
Talking Jeep and race in the same post - 10 demerits.

I'd wager the 5.7 would get better mileage towing than your 3.6. I know the ED does.
I have absolutely no desire (barring winning stupid money from the lottery) to ever own 6.4 Jeep. I've done the premium gas before and don't want to again. The 5.7 would run off regular fuel, and I bet close to the same mpg as the 3.6 and do it leisurely.

0-60 doesn't really matter in a Jeep. It would just be number to help compare.

Isn't your Mojave rated for 6k towing? Just like my EcoDiesel Rubicon.

Thank you. If it was a more common occurrence, I’d care I don’t normally have a car load like that and I’m used to it at this point.
Heck, I'm still learning about mine all the time............. when we got the JLU and then my Mojave, I had to read up on the off road+ thing and discovered it remapped the throttle among other things. Next time I take it out in the extreme hills and dirt, I'll know.

I only have the low speed cruise control, whatever you call it, and the off-road pages. It’s an overland. I’ve never been close to stuck. I’ve hardly even spun the tires. The trackloc, brake limited slip up front and my Revo 3s have done remarkably well in everything I’ve thrown at it. A lot of times I wasn’t sure if I’d make it through something and it was drama free.

Yeah, 6K - Jeep for a year showed the Mojave as 7,000 like the Rubicon and even had all the math that made sense, but they seem to have "corrected" that now.

In our hills at 65 mph, and the hills on I80 east of here make it fun for the OTR drivers, I could get 13.9 with my Overland. I have a feeling the Mojave will be worse. I couldn't even hit 13 with my Chevy LS.

Yeah, duck mode! That's what it looks like at a glance.

Duck mode is the crawl version of cruise control.

@NC_Overland

This is the OffRoad+ I was talking about, maybe it's a Rubicon thing, not sure.

I know what it is. Thank you. I didn’t buy a Rubicon because when I bought mine 2/2020 the Mojave wasn’t out yet and I knew I didn’t need a Rubicon. I had one when I lived in Colorado. I would have probably bought a Mojave if they were available then. The Mojave and diesel came out later. Plus, then my fully loaded overland was $55k and I got it for $47k and the Rubicons were selling for close to MSRP. I put a take off Rubicon LE suspension on it and 285/70/18s on the stock wheels and called it a day. Plus some minor cosmetic things. To make it look less like an Overland. I didn’t like the Overland look.
