This post has blown up! WOW. Walk away for a few days and it is a different landscape.

As an update, I have a bunch (undisclosed amount) of steering wheels and components on order to offer kits. I have been talking with Z Automotive (Tazer) and will be providing them with the first of my inventory. They will be adding the paddle shifter activation to their firmware.

Since Threedom is not a Mopar parts distributor, I paid the same price as everyone. I even offered to buy hundreds of wheels but no luck. :swear:

I have no ETA on my order.

On a side note. I am now working on retrofitting the adaptive cruise control. I will either be adding functionality to the Gladiator or adding to my pile of useless technology.
Awesome work on getting all this together.
I’m interested in getting in on this when you have them available . ??

I own the Tazer already.

Is the Alfa OBD VIN locked or could I use it on client vehicles to set tire size, ratio, and TPMS? EDIT: I see no VIN lock, so that's a no brainer for me!

I have not tried it on another Jeep yet, but I could hook it yp to my wife's jeep and see. I also have the Tazer and was hoping for that but, I could not wait to try the paddles

AlfaOBD is not VIN locked. I've used it on multiple Jeeps

But it seems to be pickier about the OBDII interface. Using it with the generic ELM BT adapter isn't as reliable as the MX+ in my experience.

I downloaded the app. I have an Autel bypass cable and a VeePeak Bluetooth adapter. Maybe that will do it?

What menus am I looking for?

I also read online while looking for info that the first thing you should do is make a backup file in case you screw something up!

Sent a couple messages but figured I would post here as well. This is an awesome mod idea! I have a Mojave with no heated wheel. Just want to add the paddles. Is it correct that I simply need to order the two paddles and the wiring? I hope so because that's what I did. Lol. I understand some trimming may be necessary to make them fit correctly, but that shouldn't be too hard. I also understand that there will be 2 screw covers missing until we can figure that out. I will also be using JSCAN for programming. Yes, I read the entire thread but there is a lot of back and forth and I simply wanted to clarify. Thanks everyone!

Here is my adapter next to my tazer. I am using the Tazer security block

I was unable to get my VeePeek bluetooth and bypass cable to communicate with Alfa OBD on my android app so I ordered the recommended OBDLink MX+ adapter and it hooked right up today through the OBD2 plug! Not sure if it can bypass the security or if it just used the Tazer as the bypass?

Looks like everything is functioning as designed.......

Thanks to @DC3 for figuring this out and @DAVECS1 for the tech to get it going!
