I have a 2021 High Altitude ready to get rid of the stock 20's and maybe go with a lift, but definitely want new tires with more rubber. After reading as much as I could on the forums, I went to a tire shop today to price out some Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 315/70 R18 and for wheels I like the Black Rhino White Axle 18 x 9.5 with an offset of -18.

I was told there would be about a 3 in poke from fender with this Tire size and wheel setup. Does this sound about right? This tire place was very busy today. Also, if they're correct.. is there anything that can be done to keep these Black Rhino Axle's and try to have them more flush?

Thanks.

285-65-18 and I have three inches of poke, with your tire size, you'll have more.

That doesn't look so bad as far as the wheels sticking out too much. I guess I need to switch my tire size. The way the guy made it sound at the tire shop it was like those ghetto honda civic's from the 90's with their chrome wheels sticking way out.

One of the reasons I went with the 285, fit the rim nicely, and too wide, from what folks shared, negatively effects too many things. Water at speed, yee haa with the 285's. Love the retro look. Good luck on your choices.

Does spray a lot more crap up the sides, so if you don't have mud flaps, you may want to consider them. I have the MOPARs, not wide enough. Cheers!

Yes, I like the retro look as well. Now I'm sold, I had my doubts until I saw your jeep because I thought the poke would be too much. Your gladiator looks great. Plus, I wanted to try something unique as every vehicle on the road these days has BLACK wheels.

I also like these retro wheels, but I'll probably stick with the Black Rhino Axle.

Wheels sticking out on a jeep really does not affect much. I usually am pretty particular but I got a swinging deal on these wheels. I have not had any issues for 23k. Infact these have been pretty handy off road. I believe these are pushing about 6" of poke LOL!

20” BR Abrams with -18 offset. You will have closer to 4” poke but will still look good. Just expect your truck to be a tad dirtier in crappy weather or when off road.

Opinions vary, IMO poke looks like you bought the wrong wheels for your vehicle, not mention they make a mess of the Jeep in bad weather.

Yeah, I'm still mulling it over. I might go with some stock overland 18 wheels OEM, and some 285/75/18 and a leveling kit. With this setup it would almost be flush. I just know I need to get rid of these stcok 20in wheels and the street tires.

Maybe somewhere down the road get a 2in mopar lift and a steering stabilizer.

Since you mentioned 18s, these are 295/70R18 on 18x9 with +12 offset.
