I agree that you probably don’t need a regear with the diesel, but if you think you can wheel it heavily without eventually breaking something, like an axle shaft, you’re in for a potential surprise. The diesel doesn’t change the physics of the lift and tire weight, and how it stresses oem parts like axle shafts and driveshafts.
Your definition and my definition of wheeling it heavily may be two different things. I drive 21k miles a year, the gladiator is my primary source of transportation. I’m very aware of what my limitations are when it comes to heavy wheeling ??

Besides, even an axle is cheaper than driving my stroker Nova 76 miles round trip to work every day ?

Very possible. Mine is my daily driver as well. I don’t abuse it by any means, but the stresses of large wheels and tires on oem components are real. Driving cautiously will let them last longer, but eventually something will break. :)
