The diesel is awesome. That is all.

These modern European diesels handle short trips much better than the older stuff. Mine gets warm enough on short runs to the store of only 1-2 miles. My soot load stays low.Just in case you haven’t heard Jeep is now offering employee pricing on all left over 24’s.
Regarding the diesel option a couple of things to consider (I’ve had diesels for over. 30 years) Diesels do best on long runs. If your commute is something like 10 miles then the engine and exhaust won’t have an opportunity to get up to temps.
Also, if you live in a state that doesn’t do smog checks ….then you have options 🫢.
I've had this 3.0 diesel and stand by my statement. These modern European diesels handle short trips much better than the older stuff. Mine gets warm enough on short runs to the store of only 1-2 miles. My soot load stays low.
I have had zero issues with any of ours and they commute 6 to 8 miles 1 way each day.and have since new in 21.These modern European diesels handle short trips much better than the older stuff. Mine gets warm enough on short runs to the store of only 1-2 miles. My soot load stays low.
I like the diesel too just worried about the BS on the motor ya know. For me, the diesel was the deal maker. This is my first Jeep. I drove the 3.6 and the diesel in a Rubicon package. I'm still on stock tires and suspension. I'm very slow to mod and I love the available capabilities with the front and rear lockers(only used both once so far). The only thing that I didn't get that I wanted was a manual transmission(that doesn't exist for the 3.0).
It's crazy all the bs you hear about the motor in our 3 clubs we belong to there a total of 29 diesel wranglers or Jt's only 1 had a motor problem and I still believe being sunk under water for over an hour had something to do with itI like the diesel too just worried about the BS on the motor ya know.
Really appreciate the info. and help would love to talk on phone since you have dealer would really like more info. with your experience. If you don't mind pm i can do a call tomorrow or sunday if you don't mind thanks.Good luck finding the right rig diesel is an excellent choice! We have 4 and have had awesome luck with them. If your not doing any rock crawling or crazy offroad consider a sport s I have both sport s and Rubi Jt diesels my wife has a Jlurd and my son has Jtrd .we have combined over 175k trouble free miles I take my sport s on 37's where guys in gas Rubi can't go the torque is unbelievable and good fuel mileage. I own 7 Jeeps personally and have owned 392's and 3.6' s in my personal opinion Heep has never had a better combination then the ecodiesel and I've owned 39 personally and literally hundreds threw my auto dealerships over the years! Good luck hope you find the perfect one yo fit your driving!!
