Update to my earlier post. I checked the other day and 79 mph is the switch point for the oil pressure running 5.13 gears and 33" tires.
That sounds about right. GrimmJeeper calculates mine with 35s (34.6") to tip 3k at ~83mph.

Yeah I may not have been clear enough. I'm posting on my phone most of them time. Mainly trying to say most people cruising on the interstate won't cause the jump in oil pressure I've seen people mention before. Even with 5.13 and 33s.
I see it towing as I monitor all conditions and temperatures. But otherwise, your point is right-on. Who stares at the oil pressure gauge and would see that if they drive them lightly and never let them wind up.

For me it has nothing to do with burnouts its trying to make up for the lousy 1st and reverse gear ratios. I think any manual trans truck should have a 1 mph ground speed at idle in 1st and reverse. Day to day driving take off in 2nd, space 5th and 6th more and 4.10s would be great. Essentially make it a 5 speed with granny 1st and reverse.
Yeah, I don't get the high ratio reverse of sticks. Even my T5 is almost impossible to back up our driveway because you build up so much speed going up the hill to keep running. it's crazy. There are days I miss that 3/4 ton 1967 Chevy 4 speed I had - or my big Ford trucks with the 2 speed differential switch. I could pull a house off its foundation and hardly feel the load. I could back up to anything with ease, clutch fully out, someone could walk along the truck faster than it backed up in reverse.

Go by the door sticker.......... where did you get the curb weight from? Hopefully not a web site. That won't be totally correct for most vehicles as what's listed on the internet is base model, no accessories or options.
Example - my 2020 had a higher payload than my 2022 does even though I ordered the same thing the second time around. So my payload for the same truck, 2 years later, is lower. That's what the law would go by - the stated payload for that truck.
I did pull from a website. Didn’t see it at first. It’s with the tire information. Door sticker is 1013lbs. I’ve needed to go on a diet for a bit now anyhow. See ya later carbs.

Me: Interesting that this new truck has lower payload than the other, they are the same truck
Wife: what's that mean?
Me: it can haul around a bit less weight than the 2020 could
Wife: Well, I've been after you to lose some weight for a long time anyway........
Me: (mumbling to myself) should have kept my mouth shut........
