Listen, this man made a video that reaffirms my beliefs and offered words as proof, how could that not be true?Outstanding trolling. 10/10.
Listen here, bub, if there's one thing I've learned in the past few decades of the intertubes is that if it's online, it's absolutely, unequivocally truthy.Listen, this man made a video that reaffirms my beliefs and offered words as proof, how could that not be true?
He even followed up with a video that said he told us so!
That is impeccable, unimpeachable journalism right there.
Can't wait to pick up my 5.7 Gladiator, gonna use it to tow my 5.7 Charger.

Tell them lies, tell them sweet little lies.
Reassure them they're special, their fears are serious, and the things they want, they deserve and are going to get!
And keep moving that goal post.
Explains a lot about society overall, when people are like, how could all of them have drank the koolaid? Well, let me show you.
Hemi production has been extended and revitalized.I am betting two things......1) Hemi 5.7. I believe Hemi production was extended and revitalized. I also think the current administration will ease CAFE with the purpose of helping the US auto Industry. That favors the Hemi. And the Hemi has "halo" effect, in marketing terms.
2) 4xE with about 30 miles of range. Not for CAFE, but because demand for the 4xE Wrangler has been high. My bet is that Jeep's market research says this is where the big sales boost Gladiator needs will happen.
A sales bump from offering a Hemi does not mean everyone buys a Hemi. It becomes a halo vehicle and influences the brand. People get excited and start talking about the Hemi Gladiator, crowing about the most power in class, big V8, American Iron, and so forth....that brings people into showrooms, many of whom drive out with a V6 because they saw the price of the Hemi, but still had their heart set on this truck. That's been a hallmark behavior of the American auto marketplace for decades....really probably for 80 years.
I don't think these are hard predictions.
The wildcard might be the Hurricane instead of the Hemi, but it doesn't carry the brand power or reputation of the Hemi and I am pretty sure the Hemi is less expensive to produce and has a lower warranty claim cost per X number of units sold than the Hurricane, being a simpler and more mature design. So that's why I think Hemi wins out over Hurricane.
Just my 2 cents while I happily continue to drive my 3.6 Rubi. No Hemi temptress will separate me from her, btw. Lol. I happen to love the 3.6 and feel it has plenty of power and decent mileage.
You could have a point. The total available market (TAM) for jeep gladiators is a subset of other market niches. I really believe that the Gladiator appealed to a subset mostly of the mid size truck market and other jeep owners and those with an affinity to Jeeps. Part of the reason they sold so many at first was because they were one of the first with a mid size truck except for the Ranger and the Frontier and Taco. AND it was a Jeep and therefore much more off road capable. I know I wanted a mid size truck and love jeeps, but they were NO GOOD for the transfer station or getting anything at Home Depot of building consequence so I had a half ton. AND they were expensive at first... Then over time they got more expensive no real changes and finally their sales seized up in 23 and they offered 30% off and I got one. And love it.You want to save the Jeep Line - Make em literally like what they were in 2018 and prior - 18k-50k vehicle. 3-4 trims tops. Less Electronics more basic basic mechanical things that work. Worst case discontinue the gladdy and make something new at that end of the plant like a 2 door RALLY Jeep crossover that at max trim costs under 35k.
To clarify more - I think the JT and JK are great, I meant more what has spiral'd Jeep downwards past 5-7 years is the cost and all the TRIMs. They haven't done real change but every year up the cost. And most Jeep ppl don't care for a SCREEN in the center console. Like this is the real issue to me with all cars - you can have your digital DASH with the GPS there. but the center console doesn't need to be a screen at all, leave it like the 90s radio player but have all the modern new advances in sound and connect technology - Make things that you can take apart and modify and not have to go into debt to do that. - https://pioneer-car.eu/media/6c/8f/06/1747902958/Pioneer SXT-C10PS Global Press Release.20250522.pdfYou could have a point. OK, six years go by and you have saturated that sub market. Now what. You are NOT going to attract a huge NEW market as you did at introduction ever again. And so your market is a hopefully steady stream of new jeep buyers and a subset of that group along with the afficionados like most of us here who will trade in ever three to five years UNLESS you can provide something that will keep the interest up. You can do the math and is it enough to support the line?
I don't know but lean toward your implied conclusion. When all they have are gimmicks and a new "edition" every six months remixing various high level components and pretty colors that ain't gonna cut it for new buyers. I mean how many Tuscadero's can you sell really? Even the 5.7 is a bit of a gimmick at this point...
So, to be honest, they did a good job with a well thought out version of the old pick up truck very decently designed and engineered with a few issues like a crappy manual transmission (FIX THAT/bring a good one back) but it can only go so far in the marketplace. AND you made it so jeep like that what are you going to do to improve that aspect to make it "visually" more jeeplike?
So, perhaps you come back to what you said... I see something like this but add a short bed, make it use as much Wrangler parts as humanly possible, keep the wheelbase short and go.
LOL - once again, everyone leaves out the R&D and rules and regs and laws and certifications and so on for the VEHICLE.The 3.6 is a good match for most people for a Gladiator. But that Hemi Rumble and torque is sure tempting...IF they can keep the cost halfway reasonable. Considering they have been building 5.7's forever, they got the R and D costs back already. Keep the price down.
Jeep, you need to recognize that the people that need it the most live in the same places you sell the most Jeeps like up here in Montana or Colorado. Our two month shoulder seasons with a mile of clean pavement then a half mile of ice to slush will sell it.
Who is to say the principle engineering and testing has not already been done? When the new Bronco appeared and was all the panty dropper for some, Jeep shit the 392 version Wrangler pretty quick to get some of the mojo back. The Gladiator has seen it's last update through the end of the program. The only realy change will be the 4xE, that was on the schedule for the facelift and got pushed. These things take years of planning, testing, tool building, approvals, trials... Literally years. You don't hire a guy in December and he just comes in and goes, "slap a Hemi in that sumbitch, idc what it takes get it done THIS IS MERRICA". No matter how much you loved Ford Vs Ferrari.
It was 3 years from Bronco announce to 392 announce lol.Who is to say the principle engineering and testing has not already been done? When the new Bronco appeared and was all the panty dropper for some, Jeep shit the 392 version Wrangler pretty quick to get some of the mojo back.
