Has anyone recently had the Y01 recall done on their 6 speed? This was just a software update for the PCM. I had mine done over the weekend and noticed the gear number selected, including neutral (N) now shows above the odometer. I've looked through all the settings (both dash and infotainment) but could not find a setting anywhere to turn it off. Not a big deal but it would be nice to have an option to turn it off.

Not at all a help here, but would you mind posting a pic? I have a 6MT too but haven’t yet done the flash. But was curious about this new “feature”

If it's like the automatic, the option is in the menu on the display right in front of driver.

Once you get to the category it falls in, you have have to scroll sideways to find it. It can be toggled on and off.

No, I don't remember which category, but I did toggle it on for my automatic.

I had the update done. I didn't know the gear indicator was going to show up so I was pleasantly surprised. I made a short youtube - nothing fancy. Just hadn't had a chance to post here yet

Well that is at least something for the nerf of our power. I tried to find this before and thought it was only available for the automatic. Nice to see they fixed that finally.

Thanks for the video and update. My wife's JL is waiting for the dealership to get the update. They had no ETA. Hopefully they will have it soon. Did you notice any difference when driving it?

No difference felt in power or how it drives. So far it's been a daily driver without towing nor off-roading done. Will update though if anything changes.

Was totally different. Clutch felt like butter and they added about 400ft/lb down below 2K RPM to the engine and fixed the gearing. HAHAHAH ok that was about it for my Wishlist. In actuality there is NO difference because the software update only estimates a theoretical clutch temp and then puts you in limp mode if you exceed that parameter. I don't ride the clutch and even offroading I don;t spend a ton of time slipping the clutch. I expect that there will be no long term difference in my use - just the gear indicator which is a real bonus IMHO
