I thought I had read that 16” and under won’t clear the brakes, but I could be incorrect.

The 17" wheels barely clear the brake caliper. If the wheel balance weights aren't positioned correctly the calipers will rub them off.

15 wouldn't clear the brake caliper on my JKU and the JT has bigger brakes so I seriously doubt they will.

Bigger brakes are a good thing my friend. I had 15” wheels on my 83 CJ-5 and stopping sometimes required help from a higher power...

That’s a negative Ghost Rider the brakes are to big.

I had 15's on my old JKUR, just had to trim less than a 16th of an inch from the calipers. Loved the look of more sidewall. That being said, pretty sure they made the brakes even larger on these.

I saw a while back someone had a set of 16's on theirs but I dont remember who it was or what brand the wheels were.
