ZF are pretty much as bullet proof as you can get. Doesn’t mean they won’t fail. They are in so many cars….i had it in my RS7 and it was great. I think that’s what was in my jeep SRT as well. They are used in all kinds of exotic stuff. Hope you got it worked out permanently.

I have 37s and 4.88s .What are the chances that my Max care warranty will cover a trans problem of any type? Gears and tires are a common mod with Gladiators and I am sure many warranties have been red flagged because of them.

Mine was warrantied with 35s and stock gears. I don’t think you’ll have any issues getting yours covered.

Well….here I am adding myself to the list. In a ‘20 Gladiator with 34,600’ish miles. Same exact symptoms everyone here is singing, rough/slamming in reverse, won’t shift past 3rd….finally limp mode. Well, just got the video update a few minutes a go, “new” transmission in the works for the JT!!

Question for the OP and the ones that have gone through this process, did y’all pay the diagnostics/shop fees?

If they found the problem, diag fees should be waived with the warranty picking it up.

Mine has been clunking into reverse at cold start for over a year now. Not really getting worse. I guess there is really nothing wrong,,, lol.
