Yeah, saw that on ABC World News last night.

My first thought when they pitted the Gladiator was, "Poor Gladiator" 😥😥😥

Yeah, that old drunk won't be driving anymore in this lifetime.

Jokes on me apparently because you've got a quarter century on me and I haven't trusted farts for years.

Agree with that, but in my opinion the younger drivers who are under the influence and do the same thing are typically more reckless. At least he was staying in one lane and doing the speed limit! 🫢 My guess is he’s driven drunk before and obeyed traffic laws, but going down the wrong way of course nixes his future travels. Probably for the best. Maybe a slightly damaged Gladiator will be coming up for sale soon! In the future AI would probably get new Gladiator owners home safely (sorry about that, I know it’s a sore subject with many of us, me included).

I suppose most of you will say that I am represented by him. Even though he is a year younger than I. I don't drive drunk but I wonder why they would take his DL when 40 and 50 year olds can rack up several DUI's and still get a DL again. I mentioned to a friend that one day the NM MVD may decide I should not be driving. He asked if that would stop me? What are they going to do, jail me? But with a sister who is 103 the end of May, I might be driving for a lot longer.

So I looked at the video attached...wonder why they had him face down and two officers to cuff him? I did a few years with the CO CSP and never had to do that with a DUI.

The driver was taken into custody without further incident. He was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or both, reckless driving and vehicular eluding.

I had a great uncle driving until he was 93. And a neighbor who drove until she was 93. The great uncle lived to 109. His daughter's both said that that he should have died in his 80's. Because he was a mean SOB. I thought he was great. Always nice to me.

As a young man growing up on the farm I worked with and respected my elders. Now that I’m one of them, a senior, that respect has been reciprocated so I believe that most still respect the experience and wisdom of the senior population, with exceptions of course. One of the first Bible verses I learned as a young man was from Job which says ‘It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right.’ This passage assumes the old are wise and the younger generations can learn from them and should learn from them, thus learning wisdom as well. There are exceptions of course but I’ve learned this is true for the most part. Spending a day with a wise old sage is much more valuable than a day behind a desk.

To be old and wise. First you have to be young and dumb. And not get yourself killed in the process.

Learn from your mistakes. If not, you'll get an early dirt nap.

You start out in life with 2 buckets. The first bucket is full of luck. The second bucket is an empty bucket of experience. You hope that your bucket of experience fills up faster than your bucket of luck empties.

Yes, the fact that we are posting here today, at least for me, means mission accomplished and glory to God in the highest for that.
