Bought my 2020 JTR with a 2" Mopar lift on it. Currently running the stock Wildpeak tires but looking to upgrade to 37's pretty quickly. Anyway, i always thought i had a slight bit of sag in the front, but after replacing my factory plastic bumper this weekend with a steel knockoff version of the modular Mopar one, it definitely seems more prominent now. While i don't have immediate plans for winch, i suspect it will come sooner rather than later since the knockoff bumper came all set for one...so more weight to come.

  • I assume the horizontal flat area on the fender flare directly above the tire is the best place to measure to the ground to understand actual sag since i'm guessing that's where the eye registers to the brain that it's not sitting level?
  • Can I simply add a spacer lift on top of the Mopar lift coils, or will other things be impacted like break lines, etc. ?

I have the Mopar lift. About a year ago I had a little sag after adding a steel bumper and winch. I put a 2” spacer lift in front, and haven’t had any issues so far. I didn’t have to change anything else. Still have plenty of travel in brake lines and shocks, etc.

Finally got around to measuring my jeep to see how unlevel it was. Couple surprises...
  • The front only measure about 1/2" lower than the rear....sure looks like more than that to the eye.
  • Every corner is different by about 1/2". Passenger front is the lowest, next highest is passenger rear, then drivers rear and lastly drivers front. I know vehicles will sometime sit high on one side to account for the driver and engine torque, but dang, how the heck am i supposed to level this thing out when every corner is different?!

Well if you add that 37" spare to the rear of the truck that will help level it out LOL

The sag is called "rake" and there is some from the factory so that when you load up the bed with stuff, the rear will drop due to the weight and the truck will be "level". Without it, the front end would be higher.

Having said that - most people don't like the factory rake (including me) and use a front leveling spacer to compensate.

Like you, I have the MOPAR kit and the steel bumper and a 12k winch. I used the teraflex 1.5" spacers up front to correct it.

Mine sits like this with 37's:

This is concerning... the springs are not only specific front to back, but also passenger to driver because the fuel tank is on the passenger side.

You should take a look at the MOPAR install instructions and make sure the part numbers for each spring are in the right location. There is a tag on each one with the part number.

Pretty sure spacers will be my next purchase...well that and possibly the bent Clayton trackbar if my new 37" spare requires it.
