Rear end sag with a small load. Please help.

The bulk of the weigh from that quad sits behind the axle line. The uneven load dissuasion will contribute to the sag. Teh load capacity is about ~1700 lbs and this will include gear and passengers. What's the quad ~700lbs?

Seems to me load distribution would be teh biggest contributor. Do you notice its riding on the bump stops?
That’s not a max tow. The payload is likely nowhere near 1700 lbs.

My maxtow's factory payload sticker says 1463#. 1700 seems unlikely to even be possible but maybe with soft tops and legit zero options it could get there.

My maxtow's factory payload sticker says 1463#. 1700 seems unlikely to even be possible but maybe with soft tops and legit zero options it could get there.
I can’t even tell if it has the non max tow pkg with his bumper covered up. They might be the really light duty springs.

My research i could only find that Max tow does not give any significant increase to payload and is more for increased trailer weight. They will work against each other, more payload and lower tow capacity and visa versa. @ShadowsPapa am i mathing this correctly?

Max tow has dedicated springs and the highest payload. I’m not sure how you are coming in with that result. The only thing that lowers it is the more options added to the vehicle. It’s up to 1700, but if you have a hard top and some other options it could be say 1600. That’s just one example. Many other Sports, Mojave’s, Rubicons, Overlands, etc have a payload barely over 1k lbs. IIRC mine was only 10xx because it’s fully loaded.

I don't have another Sport S to compare to, but mine with Max Tow stickers at 1,471 pounds of payload I believe. The Rubicon my buddy bought same day was just a shade over 1,000. I know that's not an even comparison (different models) but just throwing that out there.

According to the 2022 owners manual, the Max Tow has more tongue weight capacity than any other Gladiator package. 765 pounds vs the next closet at 700 pounds in the Rubicon.

So, is that indicative of the Max Tow having significant increase in payload? 🤷‍♂️

Perhaps not, considering 765 is 10% of 7650 pounds towing on the Max Tow, just as 700 is 10% of the 7000 pounds towing on the Rubicon. Numbers game.

Max tow the BASE version with no added options and so on is rated for a pretty hefty payload of something like 1700 pounds. Any and all options take away from that.
No, payload and towing don't work against each other - but tongue weight does count against payload so if you haul a heavy trailer and it's got a hefty tongue weight, it will drop the payload number down but since the max tow starts higher than the others anyway, it's still going to whomp the other versions of the JT
