The truck is a diesel rubi with 6600 miles on it. No issues till now. Symptoms started with the drive indicator lights on the dash flickering at times, then this weekend when attempting to manually shift it wouldn’t let me and would blink “M1” and stay in whatever gear I was in originally. Then when put into 4wd low it would state auto park disabled over and over again and then give me a service 4wd system light and a warning that sway bar disconnect is not available.
I was no where near home and on the drive back I’m now having shift flaring issues as well as randomly the service 4wd will pop up.

I’m hopeful maybe it’s a battery issue as I know many have had auxiliary battery problems but I have never heard of them manifesting like this. It would be nice to avoid the dealer but unless it’s a known fix I’m sure I’m stuck taking it in.

Sounds exactly like a battery issue. These things get crazy when a battery is getting bad and these factory batteries suck. I had the same issues on my JLR and replaced the battery with a Oddessy. No issues after that.

I wonder if it could be the infamous "loose fuses" issue?

I checked the fuses real quick. None seemed loose but I went through all of them and pushed them down. No change. Maybe there’s two fuse blocks?

My experience with the auto park thing turned out to be the wiring harness from the main battery to the aux battery was too close to the exhaust and melted the wires causing the codes and auto park to engage..... Either way the dealership will be there......

Proper battery servicing standards enforcement is a joke. I say this after spending some time as a battery charger service tech. That newly installed battery may have been wet stored without charging for a year or more after manufacture. Even if properly filled AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, rarely, if ever does the new item get a constant rate charge-1/10 of rated capacity for 10 hrs. These things will drastically shorten lifespan. I had a service call at Joint Base Shaw. The 48 volt lead acid forklift battery was 25 years old and still going with regular maintenance and inspections. Yes. 25 years. Exide moved to Mexico and quality went down while warranty claims went up. It was so bad, the company stopped selling that brand.

I had several electrical issue like this. Truck in and out of dealership for 5 weeks. Came back to the connector above passenger wheel. There are a few grounds in there.

Thank you, I’ll pass that on to the dealer. It goes in on the 4th.
