A question about the extra aux switches in the dash?

I want to add a lightbar kit with cubes. So my question is when adding these mods, to do the wiring is there a place to connect the wires to the switch, or are the switches all ready wire to the fuse box. If so do you rub the wires to the fuse box, or does go to the switches directly.

Under the hood, next to the battery is a wire bundle with 4 wires. Each wire is the + connection for 1 of the Aux switches. Then run the ground from the lights to a ground terminal *there are a few, but can use the - one on the battery if you'd like. The owners manual will list the wire colors/switch numbers (don't recall off the top of my head)

Awesome thanks. I was worried that I worried that i would have to pull the dash apart.

Nope...makes it very simple and clean! I had several Wranglers and I can tell you the Aux switch bank is a VERY worthwhile option!

in addition to those 4 wires under the hood there is a second set of wires in the cockpit. They are located underneath the dash above the passenger's footwell. You can use either set. For example, I used the under-hood wires for Aux 1 to power my driving lights while I used the Aux 3 wires in the footwell to power the ARB compressor that is mounted beneath the passenger's seat. Also, the interior wire bundle has 5 wires and includes a hot power source.

Where are you grounding your interior line ? Thinking of doing some really simple LED foot lamp strips

I see that it has some fuse ratings, if you want to run something larger, it would still work with a relay switch under the hood as well I assume?

Yes, a relay consumes minimal power so you can use any of the 4 aux feeds. Aux 1 and 2 have larger capacity and can handle more loads.

I installed the Aux Switch Kit but they don't have the two 10amp wires under the dash F72 & F50 only the AUX cables.

The two extra hot wires are only there when the Aux Switches are factory installed.
