Sorry to hear this. I bought my Rubi in August 2020, and my ARE topper was delivered in early November. Not one leak, and it keeps most of the dust from extensive desert trail driving out. Took it out last week for a full day of driving in a heavy rain storm and again not one leak... anywhere. My Atticus loved the pictures of your big dog though. We are close, perhaps they should meet.....

Do you by chance remember the Model of your topper ? I went to the A.R.E. site and did not see anything listed for the Gladiator... maybe I missed it.

I too have been dealing with camper shell hell. Ordered a RSI Smart Cap in August. I was told eight weeks for delivery. It never showed up! I started asking the dealer if they could find out an ETA. He said no. He said I would know when it would arrive when he did. Finally, on November 29th, I went to the dealer and asked for my deposit back. No apologies or nothing. Didn’t even try to sell me another product! I think it may be the best thing that could have happened.

That same day I ordered a Harker Outdoor EDC. The customer service was a HUGE improvement as I was contacted by both owners. They had one in stock and started adding my options. I am hoping in the near future to have a great camper.
so if you dont mind how much was the total price on your EDC and how deep did you go??- i just took a peek and like what I see

I got the solar package, 2 side windows, front and back windows, speed table, and bike rack. Way more than I thought the JFO would approve. JFO = Jeep Financial Officer = Wife!

We bought the ARE Classic CX Series from California Camper Shells, 828 W. Holt Boulevard, Ontario, CA 91762 (909) 983-6263. Give them the MoPar Color Code and they match it perfectly with MoPar paint. Ask for Gary Marcellus. Recommend you get the single strip LED ceiling light. I do not like the clamp mounts and after I got it home drilled through the top of the bed and installed 8 case hardened 3/8" bolts (three on each side and two up front). Best of luck.

Sorry to hear this, as I have had great luck with my ARE CX Classic. It was installed a little more than a year ago and as others have said, the wait time was minimal (+/-3 weeks) compared to what is going on these days. The photo was even taken before I removed the ARE stickers, and pre-mods! Good luck with getting it corrected.

I had an ARE (2019 build date) on my 2016 f150 and it leaked everywhere and had issues with the door struts ripping out of the fiberglass at the mounts. Took a gamble on the alucab topper for my JT and it’s MUCH better built. Definitely not perfect, but I’d give it a solid 9/10. ARE I’d give a 6.5/10. Had the alucab delivered new to my house for under 3800. Like the looks of the smartcap better, but don’t like the build quality or use of gaskets. Would recommend the alucab.

Go LEER. Mine is really nice and well made. Rhino rails on top to take another 500 lbs on a rack. ELec lock that locks when the tailgate locks Is an option too. Very convenient.

Do you have any more images to share of the Leer setup?
