There’s a thread a guy on here that makes replacement key fobs pretty cheap that are much smaller. I’m sure someone can link the thread
Thanks, I did see that but I have some plans of my own, it didn't really suit me.

Happy I have 2 keys, one to experiment on.

Interesting on the AC outlet. Do you think it would inflate an air mattress easy enough? Or small cooking appliances?
Air Pump - should. There's a lot that just use the 12v car adapter, not fast but work. If it's stronger than that, maybe not.
Cooking Appliance - I never had anything small enough that worked. Maybe you can find one designed to use under 400w.

I've heard people use it to keep a crock pot warm at a tailgate - so that is one use case. I just never had the scenario while I owned that car. Also have to consider how long you can run it on battery.

From manual
"This outlet can power cellular phones, electronics and other low power devices requiring power up to 400 W. Certain video game consoles exceed this power limit, as will most power tools."

I am planning to one day do the boat usb/12v plug thing a lot of people do. That feels more useful to me with my activities. If you do a lot of camping/overlanding and want to collect things that work for it, it would probably be 100% worth it. :like:

You're in Mass.? You definitely want the Cold Weather Group. And the 3 piece hard top. I got the 8.4 screen and since I'm over 60, it's easier to see the large icons. And the premium sound is a plus. Face it, there's a lot of fun toys in the display options. MOPAR bed liner is only $500, if you want that sort of thing. An extra $2 grrr sucks for an auto tranny, but with the reported problems on the manual, I'm glad I went that route.
But, in the end, it's your Jeep. You do you!

Thanks, starting to rethink the cold weather group after all these comments. In ordinary cars I dislike my butt on fire, however I keep forgetting that when I drove my Jeep before I primarily lived in SoCal. So, if I can extend my time with top/doors off I might appreciate it.
I would definitely recommend the cold weather since you're in the northeast. And the heated seats have 3 (high, med, low) settings so if you don't want your butt on fire just put it on low. As many other people have said it is also nice to have when you have the top off

The premium audio comes with a power inverter and 115v outlet in the rear console. So if the only reason you were getting the cargo management is for the bed outlet, there is another option. Just run an extension cord through the rear slider to the bed. Also pass on the tonneau. Plenty of much cheaper aftermarket options. And spring for the LED lightning package. Well worth the money.
I had originally planned on the LED< but had read somewhere that they are not great for for snowy weather.

Are you ordering through a volume dealer? You might be surprised the difference between the Rubicon and Willys isn't that much, especially with your limited option selection... at least that's how I justified it, knowing very well I could live with a Willy. In the end I wanted a Rubicon and got the Rubicon.

I did the same thing. Started looking at the Willys but ran across a rubicon for about the same price and ended up with it

Hey - I'm in a very similar boat as you. I am also ordering a Gladiator this week (I hope) and I am also in the Boston area. My truck will be making a lot of trips north for skiing, and I'm sure you will have family hockey tournaments up north too. I am getting the cold weather group, and also the Mopar head liner. The head loner should help with cold and heat, and with noise reduction. I also am getting the cloth seats since I think they might feel less cold in the winter (and less hot in the summer with roof off). Plus the money saved on seats will go a long way toward these other options. Also, I think there used to be a factory engine block heater but it may not be an option on the 2022. It was only $95. And I am getting bed liner and roll up Mopar tonneau to keep the gear protected right off the bat. It's been a ton of fun figuring this all out, especially with all the generous help and expertise on this forum.
