I have a 2022 stock Gladiator...I want to add the 1.5 leveling kit...from there I want to put on a bigger set of tires, still on 17in rims... do not want to add more lift or mess with the fenders...how far can I go? Can I do 35's or is a 33" about it? ... I was thinking a 17x9 wheel with 4.5 backspace and maybe something like a 285/70/17 tires...thoughts?

depending on your factory gearing 33s might be it. you got the max tow package?

You gave 33" tires (i.e. 285). You can probably go to 35's if you stay skinny on the 35's and factory rims. Might rub a little on full tilt.

I'd go for a 35x12.50. Wider tires are much less likely to dig in the sand and 4.10s are a good match for 35s especially at sea level.

I have a Willys and did the Terra Flex 1.5 leveling kit, and then added Bilstein shocks. I have Toyo AT3 35*11.5/17's and have no issues.

Yes, in the front as the front fenders are higher.

My Willys with TeraFlex levelling kit and 34's. I added 1.75" wheel spacers for a little "poke". If you have 4.10 gears, I'd do 35's.

Now that you cleared the air as to you having an Overland, it has the 3,73's and would be a dog with 35's....ask me how I know? stick with the 33's or a light skinny 34".

I reread and saw that you had the max tow package. That means 4.10 gears and wider axles (like the Rubicon). If that is the case...35's, hands down with the Teraflex leveller. Good luck with your decision. :jk:
