I tried to add two days after the order was placed. I didn't think I was going to be able to make the change anyway but was surprised at how fast the VIN was designated.
2 days? that's quick.
There was no vin in that time for either of our vehicles........ Took at least 3 days. I think it was longer on my JT but then you never know as jeep chat doesn't totally keep up, my sales guy called me as soon as he knew there was a VIN - was that right away? Dunno.

They are tiered. You can get just BSM, but to get ACC you have to also get BSM.

Edit: Diggin' the website, Steve. Looks like you'll have some excuses to use the JT for 'work', lol. I'm a dirt & rocks kinda person myself, so just curious ... does it also drive you nuts to see impossible/nonsensical topographic contours as stickers on off-road vehicles these days?
Yeah, but I'm used to it (silly topo). I've had 10 off-road vehicles since 1968, and wore out a couple. My '73 CJ-5 I bought new in '73 for $3400.00! I have to get into some places that even some dedicated 4-wheelers don't go. I've learned a lot the hard way, and I always get a winch with each vehicle. The technology sure has improved since my '53 M38-A1. The image of the '73 CJ-5 was the day I bought it. I kept it 15 years, two engines, and never failed me including all my years doing fieldwork in grad school. Now I'm returning to Jeep at age 72.

One unexpected cost that showed up in my Rubicon order sheet was "AJ1 Safety Group" when I ordered the ALP Advanced Safety Group. The sales guy said it was a group of safety equipment that was need to allow the Advanced Safety Group to function. Does anyone know what the Safety Group is?

In three days they will order my Rubicon. Said it usually takes three months, but as long as six.

In three days I'll report my order here.

Thanks
I think 3 to 6 is the standard answer. Mine said the same thing when I ordered on 2/11. Yesterday Jeep Chat said mine was already being built and was in frames. Said it should ship around the end of the month. I guess everything is variable.

A slight rant here... why the heck did Jeep decide that they should only use the rear bumper sensors for ParkAssist??? They have perfectly functioning sensors in the front bumper used for ACC and Advanced Braking, but when parking those sensors are not used at all...
I’m trying to unscrew this in my head too. My spouse was parking (pulling into a parking spot, a cause for alarm) the vehicle today and it hit me that I have all the safety packages, but no front parking warning alert was going off. So I got out of our Gladiator and pulled her forward to avoid possibly hitting a pole with a sign on it. And then I re-entered the vehicle to look at the settings. Sure enough, it only had settings for the rear park sensor in the menu.

Upon returning home shortly ago, I pulled up a digital copy of my window sticker, and sure enough, it lists only rear parksense. I looked at my front bumper earlier, and I don’t see any sensors whatsoever, so I’m thinking the safety stuff is working via the front camera on the windshield.

So what’s at work here? We had a loaded 2020 Mojave, and I swear it had front parking sensors. But I could be wrong, and confusing it with work the front trail camera was doing. The trail cam made it super easy to front park the thing. Is it the chip shortage playing out? Or does the lack of front parksense have to do with the steel front bumper with wench setup option? Which, I don’t have.

Funnily enough, I traded in a 2022 Scatpack Widebody Challenger on this thing, and it too lacked front parking sensors, from what I recall. But it had the rear ones. And, wow, did the rear backup camera suck on the Challenger. The picture was dark and grainy. In a parking garage, you couldn’t even see blue pavement markings. Total different story with this Rubicon. The rear camera is bright and super clear, no matter the environment. So that’s a plus.

You are equating parking sensors with safety sensing.
No Gladiator has ever had front bumper sensors for parking.
Grand Cherokees do because they can park themselves.
These use the radar and camara by the inside mirror for the forward collision warning/avoidance.
So don't worry, you aren't missing bumper sensors because Gladiator never had any at any level with any bumper.
The bumper sensors aren't FCW, they are parking, and there are none in the Gladiator.
