I know it's a rather specific thing and the opposite direction of what I've seen most people do, but has anyone went from the AEV 3in high capacity springs to the Clayton 2.5in high capacity springs?
How much lift height did you actually lose?
How does the ride compare to the AEV springs?
I have the AEV Dualsport RT with high capacity springs. It rides and handles the weight great, but I need a tad less lift so I can fit in the garage. I've been looking at the Clayton 2.5 high cap springs. I know Claytons run a little taller than advertised, but so do the AEV springs (I got about 3.75 in lift unloaded), so I'm hoping with being a 2.5in and having a tad less weight capacity rating that I'll see around 1 -1.5 inch less overall lift. That should be enough to get in the garage.
I've reached out to Clayton, but their truck is in the shop so they can't get any measurements off it yet. Hoping someone here can chime in with personal experience.
