I have read and written a lot regarding my Jeeps batteries and how the work (or don’t work). Today I saw this and it gave me a big laugh.

😂...yeah...and I'll never complain about the cost to replace both batteries.

Yeah, all these high end sports car guys getting into electric and thinking they can just garage them for months on end because keeping the miles off them is what they are use to are in for a rude wake up.

Yes, you have to program the tender to keep charge below 80% to maximize battery life.
I sure hope solid state batteries come soon.
The current battery technology and charging are not conducive to my use. Who wants to wait 20 minutes for a charge?

There’s a lot of confusion about EV batteries, so I wont fault you. But it cost me $92 to replace my Tesla’s 12volt accessory battery(same kind that OP’s friend had to charge on his Porsche).

The main battery will most likely never be changed. Its the small 12Volt battery that needs to be changed every few years, much like in our Jeeps. And if that battery dies, you do have to jump through hoops to access it. In the Tesla, you dont jump the fuse box but you do have jumper wires in the front towbar access port.
