57 here. This is the third vehicle that I have purchased new, but the first that I have been able to pay cash for.
First was a 1990 Jeep YJ Islander.....sank it to the bottom of Crawling Valley Reservoir when it was around 10 months old on an ill fated ice fishing adventure (oops).
Second was a 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon....still have it (don’t take it ice fishing ?).

Retiring for the second time on the 31st. Trying to enjoy the coming years to the best of my abilities but Jeeps lack of colors is slowing down my plans.
60 years young and have never purchased a new vehicle so I think I’ve earned waiting on a color that I like.
Will be my second Jeep vehicle, sold my 2011 Sahara Unlimited back in June when I was offered a crazy price for it. Wanted to keep it until a Gladiator arrived but the opportunity was too good to let slip away.
My wife has purchased two new Honda Odyssey’s but both with no assistance from me as I was out doing Marine Corps things. She also bought a new Honda CRV last year while I wasn’t looking.?
It’s my turn now, c’mon Jeep, get off yet asses and give us some decent colors.

58 and a half trips around the sun. Have had many Jeeps. Mostly Grand Cherokees. Had a regular Cherokee as my first one. Traded that '95 Cherokee on a '93 GC because I needed a bigger vehicle. Love Jeeps. Had an '11 GC Overland when I bought my JT Overland in 2019. Put a good down payment on it (paid off the lease back in November). Traded the '11 GC Overland on a '19 Ltd. a week and a half before my JT came in (ordered it). Just paid off the lease on the '19 a week ago.

Me, Retired Chemist after 35 years in industry and academia. Lost last position (laid off) back in 4/17. Mom passed from Altzheimer's that August. Looked for work for 7 months with no results. Decided (after I met my wife in Kyiv, Ukraine in 11/17) to teach English as a Foreign Language and moved to Ukraine for the summer of '18, teaching business English, and really liking it. Came back to the US to finish my Ukraine work visa to find my sister trying to screw over both me and my Father so I had to stay. Took over all Dad's affairs, and took care of my Father until he passed in November of '20. So, basically, I have been retired since Sept. '18. Live comfortably but not extravagantly. Earned my retirement income the old fashioned way...I inherited it

Interesting path in your life. Sorry about your parents and family struggles, but I guess we all go through it at certain times.
I’m not retired by a long shot, but I ‘earned’ my financial security in a similar way. When my wife and I bought life insurance all those years ago I never expected to receive it.

Retired for now!
67 here in Middle Tennessee and currently retired. May go back to work later if my wife retires. My 3rd Jeep, had a 2003 Liberty, a 2010 Wrangler, and now have my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon. Stay active, try to invest wisely, and enjoy ham radio, shooting, riding my HD Street Glide, and acting like I am still in my 20's...LOL!!! And yes, my back lets me know when I act too much 20ish.... Keep smiling everyone :) and enjoy your Jeeps!

53 And first Jeep. Looked at it on the lot while dealer was closed. Only one on the lot that was unlocked so I spent some time investigating it. Went back a week later and drove it and the hook was set. Didn’t know how to make it happen, they wouldn’t budge on price at all so I shopped elsewhere. Walked into a dealer who had same exact trim package with the exception of Having LED light package and they went straight to the bottom with the price. Took a couple days to think and it sold, went back to first dealer and dropped the price I got at the other dealer and BOOM! they came in 1k below, SOLD! Took there crappy interest rate and immediately refinanced at my credit union at a more than 50% cut in interest.
Bottom line, DRIVING THAT DAMN MOJAVE IS MORE ADDICTIVE THAN WELL…………….!!!!!! YOU CAN FILL IN THE BLANK!
