Alien Sunshade, Spider webshade, or other?

Pretty self explanatory title.

Looking for all experiences here, even if it's not a gladiator. Looking to see the differences in material, heat absorbing elements, etc.

Also, looking to see which one is compatible with the different roof options (can you keep them on when putting on the hardtop/soft top?)

So far, I've found that Spider offers the custom products which is a nice bonus.

Spider gets my vote. There are a handful of folks with JL’s had/have issues with the windshield clips breaking w the Alien Shades. As far as I know, Alien CC ships the same clips only to break again. No updated clips are made.

Alien shade just looked cheesy. Gaps all around the edges, bungie cords rubbing on painted surfaces... Needless to say I returned it and ordered a JTOPSUSA top.

We have the Dirtydog4x4 Sunshade on our JL - I will be putting them on my Gladiator. I like the separate section design - Allows me to cover front or back. Since I prefer to not have it all covered except on the hottest days.

I had an Alien front shade and the front clips are shit. I recently installed a full cab Spider shade and the quality is way better. The front clips are designed better, the only downside is that you have to unbolt the window and lean it forward a bit, that wasn't a big deal. Also the Alien used bungie cords with a ball on one end for the bungie to loop over, ugly as hell and the ball ends up being on the inside of the rollbar. The Spider uses aluminum pulley looking thing that gets mounted to rollbar using existing trim screws. The Spider sits higher than the Alien did also.

Spider for me. I had one on my TJ then now on my JK. Never had a probolem. Liviing in Florida, its perhaps the single most valuable mod =P. No brainer for me...ill probably order it way before I get my JT.

I received my custom JTopsUSA shade yesterday and threw it on. Fits pretty well. If you have the Mopar grab handles, the straps in that area will need to be attached at an angle a bit (at least for me). The hard top goes back on while keeping the shade installed.
