I don't think so. To do it again I would've forgone that and the 8.4 screen.
I think there's better aftermarket options both in function and value.

Kind of. I won't ever have anything less than the 8.4 screen, but my own contest builds from years ago would blow away the factory Alpine stuff. It's a good starting point, though.

I have the Alpine Premium with the smaller screen. The stock sound is ok, not great but ok. The JT is a difficult vehicle for sound and I think it would cost at least what the Alpine runs for a custom install and unless you can hear one already done, you won't have a clue how it will sound until its done. I think the Alpine is an ok starting point and you can upgrade the smaller speakers for low cost and it gets a little better.

That's what I'm working on doing - swapping out the smaller speakers to help highs. Mine sounds a bit "muddy" - even with the bass dropped way down in the EQ it's still muddy sounding to me. I've lost the highs in my hearing - and I love CRISP clean bass. This is not that.

Interesting most folks say its not too good thus far. I would disagree, personally, but to be fair I'm also coming from a pretty lousy previous sound setup from my Avalanche. Not sure what the Alpine pkg add-on cost is, but I've been really pretty impressed with it and it'd be way down on the list for me as far as upgrades go. More than enough bass for me, great clarity, might be lacking a subtle amount for highs as noted from some others.

-All that said, these auto manufacturers are rarely (if ever) going to out-do an audio manufacturer in this game.

Is it worth it? It sounds decent for a factory sound system and probably better than a base system. In my old Nissan Titan I had a Kenwood Touchscreen head unit and two amps a 4 channel and 2channel I ran as mono to run 2 10in subs, so no it doesn’t sound like this but the single sub and audio sounds decent for a factory system.

I had the non alpine in my 2019 Cherokee. Wanted the bigger screen in the JT which forced me into the Apline. I think it is a noticeably good upgrade.

I am not an big audio person though and just about like everything else aftermarket can probably do it better.

Thanks to the Army I have about %10-20 hearing in my right ear. So im by no means an audio aficionado. But i can absolutely tell a NOTICEABLE improvement over the stock system in my 2013 JKU. Enough that i have no intention of upgrading over the alpine setup at all. I can hear satellite radio clear, and both Bluetooth and apple car play are clear as heck when listening or on the phone. Apple car play is better than straight Bluetooth, but both are great. What really surprised me was that, despite hearing loss…i can hear the radio with the doors off without turning it all the way up.

its a factory upgrade that is a covered wattanty item that is a great improvement over stock. Worth every penny IMO, even with the 7in radio (which i have

Like almost all vehicle sound systems, it is the audio manufacturers that are doing these systems - Alpine in this case, Bose in some cases, you name it. Even my laptop has Bang & Olufsen
I've not seem auto makers do their own audio in a long time.

My Silverado sound was fantastic, crisp clean bass beats the JT bass.

Does the Alpine sound good with the doors off at highway speeds? The factory non Alpine system sounds good with doors and top on but once they are removed pretty much sucks.

I have to turn mine up to at least 22 or 23 to be able to hear the words to any song with the roof off.
I normally run half that, maybe 12-14 much of the time with doors on and things closed up.

It is waaay better than the base stock system I had in my ‘19 JLUR. Absolutely worth it imo.

No doubt it is. And its their bottom of the barrel (or close) product they're putting into vehicles in order to get their name out, most often. I've got a JBL home theater audio setup, but by no means do I have their top tier package. Still, sounds pretty good.
