Since the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper is becoming more and more popular, I wanted to start a show and tell thread for those of us out there that have one. So I will start.

Full transparency, this is also so I can get some more buildout ideas.

Nice! I love watching Alu-Cab builds. Looks like yours is coming along sweet!

I would however recommend you consider relocating your battery up against the forward bulkhead. The space you have it in closest to the door is much better used with things you'll want to access frequently, rather than a battery that you'll only access to replace or troubleshoot. I'd recommend placing a locking deep drawer system where you have your battery currently. Just a thought. ~ E

Here is mine. I will add some more beauty shots soon, I have prototypes mounted all over so I can't take more photos at the moment. My goal is to keep it as open as possible, so I am not going with a Goose Gear or similar cabinet system. I need as much space as possible for hauling 813 orders to UPS. So, I am using our MOLLE panels all around the bed of the truck as well as designing new products that are specifically for the Alu-Cab. I have several items that will be going to production starting Monday. I am excited to see what the Alu-Cab community thinks of my ideas!

Nice wide open set up. Very versatile. That cable organizer on your MOLLE panel is pretty sweet too. Nice to see your build! ~ E

Thanks Eric! I am watching your videos again and looking at your suspension build. I also have the Mopar 2" lift. My Jeep is more for travel and adventure like your's. I need to upgrade the springs also. I have been looking at the Dobinson springs. It sounds like you are keeping the Mopar lift and changing out to Falcon shocks with the Dobinson springs. Correct? It is a 2" lift, you said you have the 3" springs. Correct? I am trying to figure out which springs to order. Thanks!!

Hey Jeremy. You are correct. We have the MOPAR 2" lift, Dobinsons coil springs, and currently the Fox shocks that come with the MOPAR lift. We are sponsored by TeraFlex and they want to get the Falcons on DAUNTLESS, but we ran out of time before we started our global journey. They plan to send them to me somewhere along our drive. So eventually we'll probably do that.

But what I'd recommend is that you complete your full build out FIRST then weigh the vehicle fully loaded with all the extra fuel, water, passengers, pets, gear etc. BEFORE you do any suspension. Once you have both the steering axle and drive axle weights. Send those specific weights in an email to David Otero at [email protected] (you can tell him I sent you his way if you like. I don't get a commission or compensation, but he'll recognize my name and I'm sure will be helpful. Also take close note of the email in the email it is dobinson singular not plural) David will recommend a specific spring based on your actual weights which is without a doubt the proper way to build it.

Hope that helps. ~ E

Really happy with the attention to detail in the install from Juniper Overland. (Transparency they are one of our sponsors for the global journey we are on) but if you watch our build series on YouTube, especially our Alu-Cab Canopy Camper video you can see some of their process.

Excited for you! It is a great unit. ~ Eric

I thought about that, but decided to keep it where it currently sits to be close as possible to the power input from the staring battery, electrical panel, REDARC system and power inverter (not pictured). The bench up front against the bulkhead will be on hinges and flip up for access to the large Expedition 34 Boxes that I have. Being 6'5", I am luckily bought that I can access everything from the side doors even with the Jeep being on 37" tires :)
