I am more than likely going to pick one of these two I just got a quote for a ARE canopy and they are all within reach of each other. I'd love to hear some first hand experience on the Alu-cab and RLD folks. Happy? Do it again? Pictures would be great and why you went with one over the other.

My Alu-Cab is due in the US at the end of the month. I have been super happy with the support form Alu-Cab and OK4WD (dealer/US Distributor)

Spread is a bit further about $1k for ARE w/ options - side opening windows. Still undecided as I like the robust nature of the RLD and Alucab. They seem to be better for off road performance as opposed to the ARE/painted to match fiberglass.

I went with RLD due to the weight capacity to allow a RTT, and vs Alu-Cab I liked the color match and design of RLD better

Just read the Alu-cab can only load 330lbs. I think w/ either gear or tent/people it could easily pass their load rating.

It is a drag, not being able to actually see the thing you are dropping some serious coin on. They all seem to have long lead times, I also passed on fiberglass and was not excited about the Alu-cab, so I was down to the RLD and RSI, both very similar, RLD has screens in windows RSI you have to figure something out which is not too big a deal, the weight capacity for both are the same static but dynamic the RLD doesn’t lower their rating as the RSI does. RSI has concealed hinges, free shipping, the rack rails on top seem better installed, and bigger rear window for visibility I think they are almost even in most ways but the RSI looks to fit the jeep better. For me it came down to RSI, and I put a deposit on one two hours sgo, might arrive about same time as my Mojave ....October!......Jack
